Jewish yes, Rabbi, don't believe so.Wasn't HE a Rabbi?
It's a shame a few left winglooneys have driven Christ out of Christmas for the sake of political correctness.Bottom Line is Merry CHRISTmas. Emphasis on CHRIST. If that offends anyone or makes someone angry, OH well.
May God Bless everyone.
Ok this part of the thread is out of my league, but I answered no because I thought I read some where he refused to accept the title of Rabbi. Ok I am out of this thread.
In two thousand years will people be discussing Harry Potter and questioning its meanings?
The literal meaning of Rabbi is teacher. So, I can say that Jesus is my Rabbi.
Mark,Ok this part of the thread is out of my league, but I answered no because I thought I read some where he refused to accept the title of Rabbi. Ok I am out of this thread.
I'm like you guys---I learn a lot more by discussing with people that may not be of the same congregation as I. For instance, I've never considered what ScottS said about David's sin of murder. Def gives me something to think about. But Scott, here is my first thought: assuming that is your belief, what would happen if someone cuts you off in traffic tomorrow, and you roll down the window and curse loudly at him and flip him off. I'll assume you'd find that to be a sinful act. But it is traffic, and the guy responds in-kind and drives away, never to be seen by you again. You'd never be able to get "true forgiveness" as you've defined it. Thoughts?
..... It makes no difference whether or not you have accepted Christ, if you don't act like you did.....
Recently, I choose not to share about a 9yr old in our church who had cancer.
Today I decided to share her story........
Her name is Kristin Beaucher.
She was diagnosed with a type of brain cancer at age 2.
At her early age of 9 years the cancer came back.
About one month ago she went blind due to pressure on her optic nerve.
Her last visit in church was about 2 weeks ago and the whole church laid hands on her for a miracle healing (if it was in his will)
We also had a walk-a-thon and a Bike-a-thon which raised near 10,000 for the family because both parents left their jobs to spend quality time with their daughter.
She wanted to see fireworks one more time and family set it up for the fire department to set them off for her before she passed.
As it is right now they are still going to have them for her tomorrow night.....she is just going to be looking down one them instead of looking up.
Kristin Beaucher passed away last night at 9 years of age.
The preacher today spoke on day she recited the ten commandments in front of the congregation and at her very young age she accepted Christ as her Savior.
God want us to rejoice when one of his comes home, but sometimes that is hard to do.
I know some don't agree with my posts lately and I am sorry if they may offend anyone.
But this is a reminder that life is short and when you have to go through something like what this family is going through right now....they are not alone and they have the assurance that they are going to be reunited with their daughter one day.
For you prayer warriors out there....The Beaucher family would greatly appreciate them.
See this is what I dont get? Little innocent kids get these horrible diseases and die so young. Then we have scum of the earth walking amongst us that do nothing but bring pain to others. Where is God's justice in all this, I always here people say well she/he is in a better place now?
...... How many of you would be willing to leave your families right now for that better place. I know that for me I want to spend as much time as humanley possible around my family.....
