I thought Tony was always right.......

Here's some "honor" for you. I guess "honor" means something different to the police

Yeah, that's right, they honor themselves for shooting a decorated veteran, a man who's job was to go around and counsel the ill who were getting pacemakers installed who had a concealed weapons permit because he delivered $80k pacemakers to the hospital and sat in on the operations. A man who had never been arrested in his life and passed all background checks to carry concealed weapons. For what? Because a gung ho punk security guard called the police when he saw the gun in the guys waistband.

Here, you can listen to 4 officers yelling different commands to him as he walked out of Costco with the crowd having no idea why Costco was being evacuated. Witnesses (including the cops) stated that the following commands were given to him and he "didn't comply"

1) put your hands where I can see them
2)Drop the weapon (by the second officer outside)
3) get down on the ground
4) get on the ground (by a second officer outside)
5) get your hands up (by the third officer outside)
6) don't move (by the third officer outside)

This was a man walking out the exit of costco with hundreds of other people who had no idea the police were there for him.

4 seconds from the first command till this man was dead.

I wonder how many of us could put our hands up, unholster our weapon, put our hands up again, and get down on the ground twice in 4 seconds?

Real heros that deserve to be "honored". They killed the only real hero in the room. Then destroyed the Costco video and spent the next year trying to dig into Erik's past to find something to justify his murder.

Hey Red so what's your take on the cops who died saving lives during 9-11?

I admire and respect everyone that makes an effort to save lives. I am not anti cop, but I strongly believe they [cops] (as a whole) have shifted to the dark side.

I've been in contact with 4 cops (trespassing on my land) in the last several years. ALL of them committed felonies in my presence, and one in particular, when I mentioned it to him, knew exactly what I was talking about... he just laughed. 4 out of 4 (face to face with me) have no respect for the "law" (which they serve) whatsoever. They have their badge and gun... what else do they need?

I'm not going to challenge them because I know they'll win no matter what. It's a lose - lose situation if your not a cop. I have immense respect for firefighters, but not very much for cops. While I won't provoke a cop, I will stand my ground. I stay to myself and let them be. I know sooner or later they will get what's coming to them.

I've worked with great cops in the past (when I was with the SO) and have nothing but respect for them, but their respect was earned not demanded nor pounded into me.

This thread (IMO) is about "good" cops doing what is right and weeding out the "bad" cops. Make room for more good cops. If a cop has to resort to beating a teenager over riding a skateboard, I'd say it's time for that cop to move on to a new career.

Generally speaking, this problem isn't just with cops. It's with most of the "public servants". They've forgotten their roll. They have forgotten who pays them, they have forgotten whom they serve (or are suppose to serve).

Simply put, if a "good" cop does not take action against a "bad" cop, the "good" cop (in my book) is now a "bad" cop.

As far as 9/11 goes... it was a False Flag Operation. How does it make you (generalizing everyone/anyone) feel that our own government had a hand in 9/11?

The kid was probably a gang member.

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense than getting beaten for just skateboarding. The gangs in black don't like competition and they found a gangmember alone they could terrrorize. Makes sense. lol

Well that Sends a Message to me, don't carry

I would rather she run for office, maybe Sheriff is she sticks with this. She risks getting hurt herself , look at the cop who was investigating others in Phx. Conveniently he is found shot in his patrol car, attempted suicide. They disproved that, it was murder.

Her Boss is constantly fighting Feds, she just needs to move on.

Ron, I met Sheriff Arpaio this year. I spoke to him at length. It was refreshing. I told him I disagreed with his treatment of people who are jailed and made to me outside in the heat in tents, when many of them haven't even been convicted of a crime. He told me they are sensitive to that and there are different areas for those who are awaiting trial and those who are awaiting imprisonment or serving time. I was satisfied with that answer.

I asked him about police brutality. He told me that the police officers today are nothing like the ones 30 years ago. He said they go to college, pump up on supplements and come on the force thinking they know everything. He said they are looking for confrontations and they have to have that taken out of them before they are worth anything. They are hard to discipline because the unions back everything they do. He told me he still won't put up with any of their abuse and will fire them quickly when they do something wrong.

I haven't researched Phoenix but according to Ron, the Sheriffs guys are the lowest paid and he is frequently on TV firing one or another for different reasons. So I'd think his force is doing pretty well unless someone has differing information.

If you look on their site you will see how much simple marijuana offenses dwarf the other reasons people are jailed. I am in complete disagreement with the ruining of lives by caging people for doing things to their own bodies.

Again, I'm not "pro drug". That's a bone-headed way to try to discredit what I am saying. I'm against tattoos, but if someone wants to put them on their body it's their business. I'm against sex changes, but of someone wants to do that to their own body, again, it's none of my business. If somebody wants to make moonshine, sell milk from their cows, or collect rainwater on their own property I am all for freedom for people to make their own choices without the threat of being locked up and having their incomes disrupted or lives destroyed.

There is fixing to be another huge crime commited on all of us as soon as the tax rates expire. We all need to figure out a soulition to that.536 Billion reasons not to be happy at the first of the year.Assuming we as a whole on the board work and pay taxes shake head yes everyone.

This isnt in that story , I looked. I was there this day , I cant remember why? LOL Arpaio stopped the feds and told them to leave the reservation. He claimed the entire raid was illegal, I believe this is where Joe started the with his problems as he was only a few months in office throwing the Feds off the property.

I was there that day, at the time I was younger and didn't understand what was going on. Indians with shot guns, Feds with machine guns. Sheriff shows up and asked the feds to leave that they did not have the right to be there.

Sheriff Joe since this day has been taunted by our own Government officials.

So your pro freedom to let people kill other people by letting them sell drugs that can kill people the first time they use them. I think you are basing your stance off of a prior situation that has happened to you. When people use drugs they go into it know the consequences and if they get caught then I say good. One less dope head off the streets and one less drug dealer to worry about selling drugs to kids.

I see your point but it dosent make sense to let people die. Like the previous poster says stop writing about it and start doing something about.

What are you talking about? Because I defend rights that means I am guilty of something? There is something inherently wrong when people of that mindset are given authority over the lives of others.

Further, if you had quit locking people up for the drugs that have been around for thousands years they wouldn't have to try to skirt the law by making deadly designer drugs that randomly kill on the first try

There has never been an overdose on marijuana in history
