They used to repair washers and equipment, and I find are a good local shop to deal with in my area over some others. Over the phone and shipping I can't speak for though.
 
For anyone interested in trying this engine, be prepared to wait.... and wait. Ordered one to try it online and is backordered through january.

Called the local harbor freight and they said they have their floor model in but stores wont be stocking them, they will be special order only. Soonest they will consider stocking in stores is in 6-12 months IF it sells well online/special order. Until then they are building/shipping them per individual order from overseas.
 
I paid 3500 for my gx690 8gpm.. that 10 isn't much more, maybe next time, although the 8gpm seems to knock it out quick. I have always loved the Honda's... Also I live in FL and have ordered from Russ a few times, I the shipping I usually so fast you won't believe it. Thanks again Russ, Look forward to doing more business with you.

Went to Harbor freight today. Spoke to a manager. She said she would be pissed too. She made some calls. Came out with a tracking #! Being shipped on monday! Totally different experience speaking to a normal live person. I take back the comment of not dealing with Harbor freight. Just don't call customer service, you will want to blow your brains out.
 
If it does not show up in a week or so, can you get your money back?

They haven't even charged my card yet. They charge it when they ship it out. The manager got the whole scoop and she said my shipping label was made up already. They just didn't update the computer, so when I called customer service they just told me they are backordered until jan 21. I ordered this engine sept 23rd! Also the manager gave me the name of the person she talked to and all the information I would need to follow up. It says it is shipping monday and will arrive in 3-7 business days. she printed out the label and everything that was on the screen for me.

I should have went to the store in the first place. A young 20 year old manager went out of her way to get it straightened out. Now I have to deal with customer service because I sent a nasty email last night. LOL. They are supposed to call me.

Sounds like they have lousy phone representatives. I love my local Harbor Freight though. Customer service there is great. And I got 100' of 3/4" garden hose for $25.
 
Ralph sounds like you need to call one of the guys on the forum an order you a big kohlor an save all this rig a mo ro for another day lol.

This is a test. I have read nothing but good things about these engines, so I am going to put together a 10 gpm machine and see how it goes. If it doesn't pan out I'll just get another engine. We'll see. Everybody will see, LOL.

Yeah, they basically read a script and getting any real info out of them is pretty much out of the question.
