I doubt it. They wouldn't let me use it on my air compressor. Read the fine print. I think engines are also excluded.
No. I'm just thinking out loud. Can you price that stuff out for me? I'd like a gearbox, because it's easier and smaller footprint. I just got a 20% coupon in the mail from harbor freight. I wonder if I can use that towards the engine? It is supposedly on sale already.

Looks like you can use it on the engines. They never let you use these coupons on air compressors no matter whether they are on sale or not. I don't know why but the coupon always exclude them.

It all sounds very interesting but unless you're mechanically inclined and a fabricator you might want to consider spending the extra $1500 and buy a unit ready to go with a warranty. A frame will have to be built for engine and pump mount plus all the time one spends putting it all together. Better have your ducks lined up for this type of project.

I'm a mechanical moron, but it's not that bad. I just bought 3 engines and gear boxes to use with 3 pumps that I already had. Also bought the carts to go with them. It's not that difficult to put one together with a gear box. Probably a lot easier than putting one together that is belt drive. I built two 5.6 gallon machines and a 8 gallon machine

I bought a pre-fab cart and put together a 4.6 gpm machine with no problem. They sell them all over the place. All you do is bolt the engine to the cart, attach the gearbox and then the pump. I wouldn't attempt the belt drive, but I know I can handle a gearbox.

Muffler attached it is a 1" shaft though, is that bad ? I didn't even think to look. I hope the bolt pattern is universal.

I don't think it is a problem that it is a 1" shaft. If ordering a gearbox you will need to order one for a 1" shaft

I bought their 13 horse at the beginning of this year for one of my machines. Been running the hell out of it with no problems. Doesn't always crank as easy as a Honda if you're pull starting, and the 1 gallon fuel tank gets annoying quick, but at $350, it does what I want and allowed me to get 1 more year out of a cheap machine.

I just built 2 machines with the 420cc engines about 3-4 months ago. They are beasts and have a lil more power than my old gx390. I even linked the 2 together, I build one belt drive and one direct drive.

I was sketchy at first with them being from harbor freight, but they have proved them selfs to me day in and day out and are work horses. Looks like ill be building another one here in the next couple of weeks because thats a killer deal on an engine

Good to hear. I hope the 22 is as good as the smaller ones. Hey Dan, if you order one, search the web for coupons. Sometimes you can find a 25% off one item! You can get a 13 hp 420cc, for $287+tax and shipping, with a 20% off coupon. thats ridiculous! You can buy 3 engines for $1000!
