Lets see saving even on 1,500 its not worth it for me. Honda all the way, who wants to be down when your renting a 65boom lift and have a crew standing around . This is fine for a start up but to me I wouldn't think of it. Never had a problem with a honda. Never
Cheap is very costly.

Several people on this forum have or are using chonda engines and I haven't heard anything bad about them. I wouldn't be inclined to use them either, but as far as I can see they are workhorses. I'll be keeping a spare washer on my truck, so I won't be down at all.

Just saw this in Daytona looks very well made. I am quite surprise how well the aluminum was and carb was. Look better than my honda. I wonder what they cut back on other than labor? This could be a nice back up machine on my 2nd rig.

Ralph, do you have a base, pulleys, a gearbox, or anything yet? We could do 8 @ 3000.

I just built 2 machines with the 420cc engines about 3-4 months ago. They are beasts and have a lil more power than my old gx390. I even linked the 2 together, I build one belt drive and one direct drive.

I was sketchy at first with them being from harbor freight, but they have proved them selfs to me day in and day out and are work horses. Looks like ill be building another one here in the next couple of weeks because thats a killer deal on an engine

So base, engine, pump and unloader... Anything else for a direct drive??? (other than fittings)

Does this one have a fuel pump so we can slap on one of those monster sized gas tanks?

I would assume it does. I'm getting a 6 gallon tank from Russ.

Ralph/Russ, plastic or metal? Vertical or horizontal? I'm going to need 2 pretty soon.

Plastic horizontal boat style tank.

I can also get 8 and 18 gallon tanks from Hydro Tek in either red or translucent white.

Are the Hydroteks vertical or horizontal?

That's about it CL, for direct drive. For gear drive, you've got to throw a gearbox into the parts list too.

What would a gear box run for the 13hp or 22hp Russ?

+ sales tax. It comes to $606 in Fla. Then there is a gas tank and battery.

I have a full size battery and 8 gal on my current pwash unit. I just gotta figure out how to tap into it.
