    Past transportation just for fun

And here is my newest project. It's a 1923 T bucket Speedway body, with a custom built frame. It's still in the early stages right now, but it is on the ground and rolling.

    Past transportation just for fun

I ended up selling the eclipse and bought a 2005 GSXR 600. I bought it to ride. No wheelies, no racing, just ride. Yea right. That lasted a few weeks until I started feeling comfortable. I added new sprockets, exhaust, and new paint. I started doing a lot more racing. In went the 750 motor...

    Past transportation just for fun

In my mid 20s, I got into the import scene. I had a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse. I started out with the big exhaust can, wheels, and lowering springs. After Sept. 11th I was overwhelmed with patriatism so I decided to pull out the paint gun. My girlfriend at the time ended up wrecking the...

    Past transportation just for fun

1968 Mercury Cougar. I bought the car when I was 14. Started driving at 16 and drove this car daily until I was 20 or so. At that point I realized racing my daily driver wasn't the best idea, and bought an 88 camaro to drive. I continued to spend money on the Cougar over the next 4-5 years...

    Cleaning paint off limestone

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I have several large sections of limestone steps, that have paint drips on them from over the years. The customer asked if they could be removed when I washed them. I'm sure the drips are both latex and oil based paints. Any ideas?

Has anyone ever cleaned the vent covers for a parking garage ventilation system. There are approx. 70 covers that need to be cleaned front and back, the debris needs to be shoveled out of the vent tunnels, and the tunnels need to be rinsed down. I'm working on an estimate based on the time I...

    Getting Paid!

I've been fortunate over the past 8 years. I've only had one no-pay customer, and a few slow-pay. But with the steady downfall of the economy, getting paid seems to be getting harder. Customers are taking longer to pay and I am currently having a problem with a customer not paying their bill...

    Christmas cards

I'm thinking about mailing Christmas cards to my customers this year. It would be a Happy Holidays/Thank you card. I even thought about inserting a discount card for 2009 services. It would be a good way to keep in touch with past customers, and maybe schedule some work for early 2009. What...

    GPS Tracking

Anyone using a GPS tracking system on there trucks to keep an eye on there crews? Looks like it would be a good way to keep track of actual hours on site vs. time sheets.

    Sidewalks

I'm putting together a bid for a strip mall. I've measured approx. 12,000 sq. ft. of sidewalk, and 2500 sq. ft. of crosswalk. The place is only a few months old, so theres not much gum or stains. If my bid is accepted, I will be cleaning on a quarterly basis. Is 10 cents a sq. ft a...
