Wal-Mart anyone else get the Letter?

DEAD ON MAN!!!! +1000 .... in other word USM gets local guys to do work at 100 store pricing when they only actually do maybe 3 or 4 ... They are honestly just a middle man ... and dont think its just going and performing the service. I will post the scope of work for their snow contract in another thread so everyone can see the IVR requirments

Lol I already have a new agreement signed three weeks ago. It was with Walmart. Usm is just like a property Mang co. I think you guys are miss reading this one. Plus it's there job to secure quality people or there lives will be very tough. This isn't a in and out job, they are in this for the long haul.

If you remember and some do I said this was coming 18 months ago. I disnt know it was Usm till three weeks ago. It's very short minded to not give it a shot. Plus dj I happen to know they are doing nothing yet with Current vendor pricing.

usm snow removal scope of work

here is the snow removal SOW for walmart.

Not sure what the washing one looks like but here is the snow one... I personal just can't enter into a contract that has this many stipulations ... You make your own decision

Guys have reported they made more hours under Usm than Walmart. FYI

Of course Walmart took liability off them, it's business and the name of the game.

Ron, as i stated above I haven't seen the washing one IT MAY BE totally different then the snow one. But I can tell you I price our local store at 500+285 to salt and the guy said someone was cheap. I wasn't gonna play that game. It's the same guy that did the store last year, and everyone in the community blew our phones up say go talk to walk mart it looks like crap your should do it.

It's out of my control is what i will have to tell people this year. You simply can't make money from them on the snow contracts.

AGAIN washing may be different we will have to see... I hope it is different.

PS .... Have you have the pleasure of dealing with that IVR system ... Its a PITA when you have to stop and take time to mess with when you have 20 other accounts to get scraped.

I hope washing is different. And I hope it pays alot better

Here is the thing on snow removal (i know you don't get snow in AZ but... LOL) If you have great turn around times (getting the lots cleared fast and everyone taken care of) and run you biz smoothly (billing, good equipment = limited break downs, training so not damage to property) then you will be able to demand a higher price.

You ask any of the guys around here the going rate for a truck plow and salt and they will tell you $65 and hour to $80 an hour tops... We averaged $129 per hour last year per truck.

Like i said it is what it is and the guys that can't sell their own accounts are the ones (in my experience) that take these kinds of contracts.

I HOPE WASHING IS DIFFERENT!

have you seen the SCOPE on the washing yet ron?

Ron can you please text me the info too?
I will buy a new reclaim unit if its worth it. and whatever else is needed.
(The guys doing it now dont have it though)

Sorry, 956-455-2884 Joe Ortiz

Dj we dont see eye to eye much, if I have no sales or need to worry about marketing and I had a company that could keep two or three crews busy at 80 dollars per hour I would be happy to take the work.

Plus if works by the hour I love that, that is guaranteed profit even if he margins are lower.

If I'm getting paid by hour I will do what the GM expects and bill accordingly.

There's snow here in AZ just go up the hill.

Or make some mud snow men and paint them white. And here go the snowmen

yes but I want to share some top secret info! LOL

There appears to be 2 different types of paper work, one for new vendors and one for current walmart vendors.

They told me that the screening process is way more intensive that walmart uses and they are wanting to use those vendors if at all possible that have already been approved by walmart.

How long do they keep a Vendor on file? I have had a vendor number for wal-mart since 1995 I think?

Hey Ron Im an approved vendor for them, can you shoot me some info? I haven't received anything in the mail yet. Thanks

Hey Ron, I would like some info too.
