havent had those numbers yet, hope fully soon though. when i get to the next event that i can, i hope to learn as much as i can.

The most I have ever netted on a job was about $1800 per hour. When the customer complained, I reminded him I was low bid, and that he was paying more for my knowledge then what I did.

Lee, if you can afford it go man! There is no doubt you will get something good from it and will be sparked to go out and make more dough!

If you can't afford it now, big deal. We've all been there. Even after making money sometimes you get hit with a recession. Heck I drove a BMW to the first RT I went to and now drive a Crown Vic! BUT I OWN IT! That's just another example of what I've learned from other contractors like Ron and Scott.

There is enough information just on PWI to put you in a better position financially real quick. Listen to guys like Guy who know how to do the job right and realize that sales without a sustainable system and a solid method of operation down first is a path to quick money, quick debt and quick bankruptcy.

Fortunately, only my wife, beautiful accountant and I know what my margins are, most people would be very content with them, but, I will take my net every day. It is...never mind. :)

Lee I would be more than willing to help you out! Here is how ....

The round table cost with meals and admission $500 tops.
Gas money - your near by - so maybe $200
Room Cost - $300

So you need roughly $1,000

I truly believe if you are serious about your business and want to learn and grow you will find a way over the next month to make an extra grand. That's the beauty of being an entreprenuer ..... you need more money? Go get some! Simple as that! I closed almost 30g worth of work this past week!

Go knock on doors. . . .sell $199 house washes. You only need 5 .... Hell tell the H.O. that you are trying to make some extra money to go to a seminar to help grow your business.
People shop with logic, and buy with emotion.

I have faith in ya man!

Just curious DJ , maybe better advice might be to just hire you or chuck to personally help him?

Save the 1000 on travel and just get started on what he really needs to do.

I'm huge on seminars but maybe the right choice for Lee is to spend the money more wisely.

I agree he may make it back, but your suggesting he sell a few jobs to get the money to come. If he could do that he wouldn't be broke.

Lee you are close for sure, I told a guy once if he missed a meeting to find a job. It's almost like being stuck between a rock and hard place. If you do nothing your going to be broke.


I love talking with contractors who say I cannot afford to advertise. Sounds ridiculous, I hear it all the time.

I suggest if you don't make the seminar seek someone or something for help.

Well i don't have to tell you guys this, your pros and have been doing this long enough to know that when you first start out it's feast or famine.
One week it's steak & shrimp the next it's mac n cheese & a manwich sandwich with no meat.
One week you might break a grand and not do anything for three. But i'm not sitting on my ass, i'm working at it.
This is zero fail mission. I'm doing the things i need to do to increase revenew. It's just slow going and takes time.
as for the RT, that is a must. and i'm getting to the next one i can get to asap. it is a high priority imo. But at the end of the day, nothing can trump family time or
interfer with a chance to make profits. I'm develpoing things now that will pay off in the long run. So... that being said thanks for the support.

As for a church, i don't go to them (not the most religious guy around) but i have done one and am doing one pro bono now in my spare time.
Pro bono means they pay for their own fuel & costs. I know how much everyone here frowns on free work but if i can do a community service
project and maybe get a few leads off it them i'm good with that. i know there's money in church work, but if i can help it i hate to charge them to work on my own Fathers house.

Bills are simply too much. and having my house flip gig rates cut in half man. Just no way in hell i can make it.
I'm out by the truck stop hustling trailer wash outs on the CB to try and catch up. The GF & EX are both riding me like a wipped mule.
All the bills are due next fri. there is just no way in hell that's going to happen. But i'm keep my eyes open for another in my area and try and get to that 1 as things settle down here.
