THE SURFACE EDGER, that's right "EDGER"

This would be a good idea in kitchen cleaning, I certainly could find a unique use for it, this tool would fill a void that up to now has been a pain to deal with. However it would need a shield over the top to eliminate over spray, and a fixed nozzle would be a better choice for us though for a tool like this. How about a vacuuming version?

I was just thinking the exact same thing, great uses for the specialized kitchen cleaning, just need a cover on it along with vacuum capability.
 
Maybe Jerry and him can make one that vacuums? That would be cool!
 
Hi Lenny,
The lance needs to be firmly fixed to the surface edger bracket for fastest cleaning speed which is a fast walking pace.
I suppose one could machine a block of aluminum through drilled and tapped out top and bottom, then screw in coupling on bottom for spray tip. The top of the block would need a male coupling to receive the wand. (I'm not sure if that fitting even exists). To have a piece machined like that would cost a fortune unless you were getting thousands made in China.
I appreciate your question and it is a good one.
I keep looking at a way that this could be done with simplicity.
In the mean time all of the guys that have them just use a dedicated wand.
I sell the complete tool with wand but most of the PW guys get wands cheaper than I sell them for due to knowing their dealer well and there is no shipping charge when they buy from the local store.

that tool belongs with :bash:24ft. yellow pole I started with:big_boss: I think most of us have found out how not to get mud on our face. Or prehaps not.:yeah:

I Already have a one for WOKS!!! I use one for burner cleaning also, its would be better with a vac attachment.

This tool I could see avoiding alot of over spraying in some circumstances.

That reminds me of the time I was doing a dumpster at 3am very dark out.
I was coming off the drive thr and the water was very hot. I came in spraying and a rat goes running by my face about 1foot away on the wall.
As I l watch him go by to the left I see crockroaches on my shoulder. Now I like drop my gun and start brushing them off me and buddy sees all this and tells me to take off my jacket and hat off. I was coved in them.
 
Getting trash juice, dumpster juice, junk off driveways and more on us, sometimes in our faces and once in a while in your mouth......it makes you wonder if that is making your immune system stronger, giving your immune system a good workout or if your immune system is strong enough by itself.

That reminds me of a young kid who worked for me for a summer a few years ago. This kis was a med student, brilliant - like Mensa Smart. His father wasa neuro surgeon, mom was a doctor too...I can't explain how smart this kid was.

I had him out doing a commerical run (about 10 sidewalks and dumpsters) and ws with him the first couple times, he would continually blast all the nastiness into a corner and it would all spray back up in face. He did this multiple times, would wipe is face off and then do it again. I was thinking that this is the dumbest smart kid I had ever met. It was funny yet sad.....but I bet he has a great immune system now.

I dunno know....even the most seasoned of pressure cleaners can not defy the laws of nature. Regardless of your vast knowledge and vast experience, when you edge in a sidewalk with mulch, it is going to make a mess, high pressure at close range will creat a strong spray. I would rather edge it, then surface clean it than cleaning up the mess of mulch, dirt or pinestraw.

How much is one?
 
Does no one here know how to use a ball valve and turn the psi waaay down around dirt and mulch and not get a face full of dirt?

Use a dual lance and get the same thing, but this little doo hickey has a place as well, needs some mod but not a horrible idea. Would like to see one on a vacuuming surface cleaner, so much crap gets sucked up into the shell, this woul be a good idea to add onto it.

A dual lance wand works just fine, as was said early. But

Perhaps you dont have one, all I do is turn the handle and it lowers the water pressure, then turn it the other way and guess what ?:bash: It become high pressure. It has two tips one is a soap tip and the other for high pressure. Very easy to use.

No I dont make a mess using this wand with mud or mulch, I quickly figure out as a rookie that it takes low pressure for edging.
