I would say build but there are too many interest out there that are hard to overcome.
No matter how you slice it the same ones that control all the drama and "shitsturring" are and always be there.
Until some decide that they are not the all knowing contractors then we will be stuck with what we have ........ NOTHING
Russ and Guy. The one thing that both bod's did in both orgs was try to exclude Ron after using his promotion to build membership. Both of them were unable to separate business from personality conflicts with Ron or his "minions".
We can all agree to disagree. For example I don't think an org writing any bmp's will ever produce anything positive for us now. I tried to help go through the pwna bmp's under the false promise that they wouldn't be shopped. If I had known I was being misled I would have simply spoke against it altogether.
Maybe I'm wrong. If I'm I'm the minority I'll have to accept that. But I'll certainly present my thoughts on it.
Board members can't accept a position like that if they have a chip on their shoulder about anyone who contributes like Ron does.
Until someone comes to that realization, theres no way the industry can "agree to disagree" and become a "clear voice for anything.
Further, until a bod can be fully seated with members who would rather die than make unethical moves for their own benefit there will be no clear voice.
The contractors are just keeping thing out in the open. They are just using the boards to bring the light of day to things that would otherwise stay hidden. Just like the "investigation" nobody would have believed it without a full confession. (and some still don't believe it!) That's not making trouble, that's exposing corruption.
Purge out the corruption and maybe a group can eventually present a "clear voice".
