Powdered Bleach Review Roof Cleaning Products

I already know the answer, but maybe you should answer this Chris.

You own the RCIA forums? YES or NO

You own the RCIA org YES or NO

Who does own the RCIA org if you answer no?
I own the Forum Ron, the ORG was put into AC's name temporarily simply because he volunteered to file the corporate papers.

As I stated Guy,..I am done wth this,..not good for the board. The point has been made.

I probably shouldn't have went back to the "9 Days" thread,.Ha,Ha...which is why I think I took the a** statement out of the context in which you had written it,..yea,..thats on me. Sorry for that..

Hey Chuck,..I think we do think alike alot of the times,.Ha,Ha...now thats scary for both of us,..Ha,Ha..

("Lying peice of crap",..man,..you're mean,..Ha,Ha..)

Jeff

Out of context Jeff??? No, its called a lie, which is what you are, a liar.

Its cool Jeff, you're nobody that thinks he's somebody with a keyboard and a computer in front of them, glad that's working out for you.

It's called "Reality" Jeff, you might want to look into it.

The real question is there own association did promote this stuff, could people claim they understood this association in fact that AC owns be liable if there where any real damages?

I agree with your statement, lessons learned. The association will indeed have to test the merits of new products and review them so members could benefit from there membership.

So all in all lessons learned from all ends.

Ron, maybe I'm not following, but it seems your blaming the RCIA. AC and Delux the real people to blame for this mess you seem to be defending them. Is this the what you are saying?

Not Blaming anyone, AC actually owns the association legally. So if anyone wants to blame AC I guess thats saying the RCIA is at Fault. I didn't say that, everyone else is!!

So he owns it still, so actually its not moved yet?

Ok thanks Chris for helping us Understand, who will own it when it gets transferred? I will assume you!!!

I saw the video of the roof AC did promoting the new system. I thought "powdered bleach" Must be CH and I know from experience that it doesnt work very well, but maybe the additives make the difference. The video was convincing but I wanted to wait a while to see what others opinions were. Plus, like Chris T said, when SH is a buck a gallon, why change unless its better?
I Dont know AC personally, but I get the impression hes a real 'Salesman" with all the good and bad conotations that go with that term. If he's really trying to make a product that contractors can use who may not be able to get SH as cheaply as I can, then more power to him and I hope he gets worked out.

I did meet a customer last week that said Mallard cleaned a bunch of roofs in her neighborhood last November. Had a good amount of plant and grass damage, and had to call them back several times because the roofs werent clean. I wonder if they were testing the product then, and if so, why the plant damage?

Any time and I mean every time MALLARD was mentioned by the homeowner, the homeowners were very upset over plant and grass damage form their previous roof cleaning. I was told a sod truck follows them around to immediatley replace what they felt would die! TRUE STORY!!! Then there is the plant issue, when the H.O would call them there was never a a call back to rectify the issues.....

I talk to AC's Father Al Lockyer Sr sometimes. Al Sr owns Mallard Systems. Mallard Systems was sold years ago to some other people besides the Lockyer's. It was just recently taken back in a lawsuit, and Al Lockyer Sr owns it. Al Lockyer Sr remembers experimenting with Calcium Hypochlorite many many years ago, and they abandoned it for a number of reasons.

Because what kills mold will kill plants..what goes up must come down unfortunately......
That's absolutely right Ken.

I for one was rooting for this product to work with out plant damage and the other obvious problems with it, and as long as it would still be profitable to do so.
I know Chris and many others here in FL., including myself would LOVE an alternative that can be embraced by roofing manufacturers, contractors and last but not least, the property owners.
I truely do hope things get worked out...but will still remain extra skeptical, as always, for now.

Wow....this all sounds so familiar. Over the years I have heard of issues with other products that do different things. To me, it is not just a question of that particular product working or not working but it is also about how the distributor responds. It sounds like Mike Hinderliter did the stand up thing here by refunding all of his clients in full. When a vendor has an issue and responds like that, it keeps me as a customer. Not saying that particular product would get purchased again, I'm sure its issue needs to be worked out, but there would be other things I would keep buying.

I agree with the solution to the problem being an acid. As a wood person, that is the first thing that came to mind, but of course we two step wood all the time. My personal advice would be to look into citric acid, it is less harsh that oxalic would be and in areas where you have certain surfaces it would be gentler. Citric acid as a raw material is available in the marketplace.
