Help Please!

SHC is affected by the temperature and Ultraviolet rays of the sun. Keep it cool and out of the sun or it will break down and trun back to sea water... Try to buy it where ever you can get the freshest batch.

I have never used simple cherry.

I know everyone says it, and I have too. But I had a 20 gal clear tank on the back of my truck full of 12% shc, and it was still as good as new. I am not saying it doesnt break down, but didnt for me.[/QUOTE]

Just repeating what the manufacturer told me. I am using 12% also. My tanks are opaque not clear and in Feb - May it will usually last a couple of weeks without a problem. June - August it may last almost a week if I am lucky. But then I usually use it before then. But I have had it weaken drastically during the summer months when business slowed. If he is using only 6% he needs to take every precaution he can take.;)

the economy here is great... statistically Baton Rouge has grown more since Katrina and the Economy. The real estate market here is booming in the suburb i live in there is at least 25 new subdivisions being developed now. New schools being built and barely anyone losing jobs. Can anyone help me out with my question? I have searched but the info is sparse
under pressure univar usa right there in geismar; no more than thirty minutes from you has 12.5% 55ers that is where i get all of my chemicals! just watch them when they quote you a price because it changes often. last time i payed 1.95 a gallon and their is a 40 dollar drum charge and for delivery another 40 dollar charge. but you are close enough to just go and pick it up yourself! hope i was of some assistance to you!

Here it would be bad within a week with the heat and humidity.

You should keep it in a dark container that is air tight like the 30 and 55 gallon drums so it will last longer. Keeping it in a tank that is not air tight will make it go bad down here.

It also depends on how much work you have, if you are filling up every day or every week then no problem.

I buy 10.5% SH 50 gallons at a time (35 gallon main tank + 15 gallon dark reserve tank) at $1.25 per gallon. 50 gallons will clean around 12-13 houses. My tanks are kept sealed shut and my trailer is kept in my garage and out of sun when not in use, which prolongs the SH strength.

For the original question: My typical house wash mix for downstreaming is: 3 1/2 or 4 gallons of 10.5% chlorine, plus 1 gallon water mixed with (2) 8oz scoops of Simple Cherry, all mixed in a 5'r.
