is that 12.5 chlorine?

In the time it took you to post pictures of that very clean house you want to wash, you could have done a search for that most basic of questions?

If you dont know the answer to that question you should not be cleaning someones home.

Not to sound like a prick, but this is basic knowlege you should have before you become a P/W. Do some searching on this bb and get all your answers.

Look man nothing personal but you really need to search for your info, your not gonna get beat up as bad over here as PT but asking to be spoon fed is a bit much.

Everything you need is here, years of experience and answers are free for the taking, but asking these guys that have put in those years to just hand it over because you don't wanna take a few hours read....well you'r kinda asking for some licks.

What they said X 10. You are playing with someone elses home. Are you prepared to deal with any damages you may cause from your lack of knowledge and experience? Insurance (if you even have any) does not cover negligence on your part. It covers most accidental occurences. When I started out I tried my cleaning abilities and ideas on my own house before I dare touch someone else home. Be careful and do a lot of wax on wax off before you touch another's property. There is plenty of printed knowledge here to keep you busy for a while. I suggest you learn from others and read all that you can. You will be better because of it.

Best of luck, Kemp

He did the same thing on PT State about a property for a PM in a shopping center, many pages of posts and a lot of great people gave him advice to learn how to do things before working on people's property and he decided to do it anyway. Soon he will be doing the same thing on the other boards, just upsetting people.

Here we go again. He does not want to read, he does not want to learn, just how much and how to do the job. An accident waiting to happen and give the industy another black eye.

A lot of us went through the same thing over on PT State with this guy. Here we go again. Just wants price and how to do it, he does not want to learn or take advice.

Join PWNA (Power Washers of North America) and they will teach you everything you need to know Destin. You can reach them at (800) 393-7962. That house is semi technical because of the bannister rails and not a house that you should learn on. An experienced power washer would charge about 250 for a house that size and 325 at least if the bannister rails are part of the job. They are the hardest part because there are so many angles to hit. Prices vary on the economic area that you are in.

Tips

- Be Careful not to damage surfaces
- Don't force water up under boards
- Be aware of water intrusion around windows and doors
- Search Boards for previously given advice on washing the different surfaces on this home
- Don't use this as 'practice'... plan out how you are going to complete this job safely, effectively and profitably.

Chemicals to use

- Trust the guys when they say use search: mixes, ratios, etc. are all over the boards.
- Try calling some of the distributors and tell them what you are washing, what equipment you are using - I am sure they would be happy to help.

How to Bid

- linear feet
- square feet
- time

... In your situation, you would probably want to go with time - factor in how long it will take you with the equipment you have.

How do you plan on applying chems on high reaching points of home?

What tips will you use for wooden planks in porch?

Any plans for protecting shrubbery, is it an issue?

Think some more about what you need to complete this job and how you will complete the job, then it might be an idea to ask some specific questions related to the issues above... after you have searched for the answers.

Remember, you don't always get the right answers or the answers you are looking for on the net. Call the people who make a living from supplying the industry, the ones on the boards have good reputations and are likely to give you some direction.

That's a $700+ job for us......but then again, we're experienced, well-equipped & insured

My price would be around $100 to $150.I dont charge any more for the banisters all the way around the house.I do them because I like to.I would use my pump up sprayer on that one.The downstreamer is just going to get you wet and not get the good mix up on the house.Chems I would get a couple of gallons of Jomax and mix to the instructions.

Don't mind the vets here, they are on BBS burn out. All good guys but not much tact in telling you how they really feel.

I know you just wanted to post a few pictures, you knew the answer but may have been uncertain and just wanted to confirm.

You the search buttom first then post the question like this.

I pretty much from all the searchs i have done going to use 12.5. I just wanted to get some of the older farts recomendations. Thanks in advance...

As far as price it all depends on the market. You could invest in a xjet and a extension wand with low pressure tips of course. This board is here to help... And if you ever have any questions about house washing just pm me. I will give you time if you wanna learn. I check this once or twice a day when I can.

I have a question, the garbage can next to the house is leaving the plastic from the can on the wall? or maybe just dirt, what will take that off the block?

I didnt do a search...Sorry...
you just need to get the Butler to clean it off with some Purple Power

Oh and The pwna might be good for some ppl, but experience is where you'll learn the most.
You can read and watch all the info related material you want but I learned so much more on the job. Be honest with customers and when in doubt just look the info up and you'll at least have a little start. Just use low pressure /dual lances are great! and enjoy the path it takes you. When I first started I was 100% honest with customers and they respected that maybe I lost 2 out of 50 jobs no biggie....
