Fleet washing pics

Panel Brite is a good soap, I have always got good results with it.

panel bright is probaly the most popular soap there is, I know alot of dist. sell it, I get mine from Russ, its always good n strong, and competively priced. Some of these guys that sell it, water it down some what, so you've got to be careful where you get it from. I like the packs that Russ sells, cheaper on shipping. Just add to a drum with water. Panel bright is my main soap, buts its always kept on hand. When we get the real dirty trucks, especially exhaust soot, the panel bright comes out.

Hey Dave i would think that if your dealing with uneducated fleet washer's most of the time you should be able to sell them "the good stuff" watered down and make some good $$$. That is if your a good sales person, if not hire one. If your dealing with enough chemical customers you can make some good money.

Carey......its my customers job to water down. Its fully concentrated. Thats the type of game other chem play. Im not playing that game. I believe washers can best manage their soap dilutions, not me. My point is these guts need to understand their dilutions and actual cost. Dont tell me you cant afford the soap when it lasts me 1500 units at a 20-1 dilution. I used to sell it for about 300 drum. Do the math. Cant afford it? Bs. At concentrate it will bleed oil off paint without harm and a cold water rinse. Dilute to your needs. Some guys use at 50,60,75-1 for maintenance. Do the math.

If or when i decide to get into fleets I know who not to ask for help. Wow!
Fleets, large volume washing, is a different world. Anyone can wash 50,75,100 units week off a pick up truck. This is a high volume, low margin business with a lot of compitition. Either do it right ot dont do it. We are on track to wash 1800 units per week and growing fast. I am dead serious about quality, efficiency, and service, and compliance. We have helped many companies, in other markets, be successful at this business. Its by far the hardest business ive been in. Low margins, low rev per truck, high compliance standards, high employee turn over, low cost entry barrier. You want to get in, great. Ill i ask is that you do it right.

Whats ur dilution? And cost?

Dave, Panel Brite is probably cheaper if you compare apples to apples to what you're doing. Don't try to insult everyone on the boards as tho you are so much smarter than they are. Not the best way to make sales IMHO.

didnt know you knew so much about my operation blaine. dont pretend to know my business as i wont pretend to know yours. imho, if anyone feels insulted they should think as to y they feel that way. they can keep using panel brite or any other soap at 5, 10-1. im not here to sell soap. r u here to sell your "system" or educate?

I am not pushing anything, as can be clearly seen from my posts. How about you Dave? You come on here calling everyone else idiots and that we should "Do the math". You put on less than 3/4 of a gallon of diluted soap on a vehicle? Not if run thru a pressure washer. While it is a nice gimmick and makes for good entertainment on youtube, real fleetwashers don't foam. But if you want to use Russes product in that fashion, I'm sure you could wash your 1500-1800 pcs at about half the price. Just sayin'. I guess I am pushing something-Russes products. That's kind of self defeating, ain't it?

Panel Brite from Russ J. and the MC Thunder from Brad Jarman are some great soaps.

I use the soap at 35:1 (I do the math, calibrate the injector and tested it with different diameter hoses and different lengths along with different diameter soap/brightener hoses and different lengths also besides different size nozzles) so I know that my ratio is set at 35:1 with the old system that I am retiring.

I am very picky about how clean I get trucks so even at 35:1, I would say that the soap is about 90% brushless but it would pass better than most guys out there washing that I have seen locally and in some other cities (nobody here on the bbs).

I am very happy that I use that soap. With that ratio I am using about 3/4 of a gallon to sometimes 1.5 gallons per vehicle but I am washing the whole outside of the truck along with washing and degreasing the underside of the box, cab and cleaning the frame rails and just about every other inch of the truck so I think that the soap is going a long way on this account. This is not run through the pump.

Finally getting some where. Thank you for feed back and usage. One question though, whats your diluted cost per gallon?Btw blaine, my calculations are dead on and soap usage very low. 80% brushless. We bypass the pump abd power soap, 4k psi. All at the gun, rinse, ab, and soap.

Chris' "at use dilution" cost is about 13 cents per gallon, including shipping.

Thanks Russ!

55 Gallons x 20 (20:1 ratio) = 1100 gallons diluted soap

$300.00 for 1100 gallons diluted soap = $ .2727272727 per gallon diluted soap

$.27/gallon compared to .13/gallon? Am I doing the math correctly?
