First batch of EDDM

Our PO goes by weight ....very accurate

The first time I heard about putting rocks in a bag, with a post card and throwing them at houses, bad images came to mind. Broken windows, dented doors. At least that was what happened when I did that when I was 10. Didn't go over so well.

Really though, rocks in bags and throwing cards in peoples yards doesn't upset them that you are leaving trash in the yard? (not that I think my cards are trash, but they might)

How did the mailers work out? Mine were a bust, 2000, not 1 call.

Jon, post a picture of the front and back of your postcard, maybe everyone here can help you make it better.

I sent out some great looking postcards but there was no good marketing message on them and they did not do too good. I had some re-designed and they did better.

I am working on some different ideas with a better marketing message so hopefully they will do better than the last bunch.

You have to keep on trying to make them better and better, that is just how it goes and one day you will have the winner that gets the phone really ringing when you send them out but remember the industry rate is anywhere from 0.5% to about 4% response if they are good so you need to know where you are at so you know if they are doing good or not.

think the art work or message must of not been , we sent out 5000 and had 55 calls 35 jobs more then paid for theirself

I am dropping off my first batch of EDDM postcards at the post office tomorrow.

My first run will be just over 1000 addresses. Does anybody know if I need to count the cards before I drop them off, or does the post office have a machine that will count them for you?

How's business going your way? I meet you when working on the floor in morristown

Everything I have seen about marketing it takes 3 or more times being exposed to a message, product, company before it sticks. Sending out a batch of 2000 to 2000 different homes may not work as well as sending 600 cards to the same addresses 3 times.

As it is, I got a few calls and even someone who recognized the logo on my fleece from a card that he received in the mail.

your right branding is key
