With all due respect to each and every BOD member on the ballot and those that will hold the seats. I, as a UAMCC contractor member, do not want a bunch of guys that have no idea what they are doing to just take over the org. That would be like me showing up at ProPower Wash tomorrow and taking over your company. In three months I'd be lucky to have any accounts or employees left. there has to be a transition period.
There is a timeline that was posted on the UAMCC (again.. everything has been, and is, transparent) five or six months ago that outlines exactly as things will transpire. Ballots --> counts by a third part CPA firm --> announcements of seats at the Convention --> a transition time where new BOD members will work with the transition team to bring everything up to speed --> goal setting --> bigger stronger org with new management for 2010. That is a business plan.
As it has been discussed on the UAMCC forum, 2010 will see establishment of regions, the Wash With Us charity program which will get the org and its members public recognition, more RFP procurement, more involvement with setting contractor friendly BMP's, stronger networking, more phases of website and SEO development with contractor listings, and furthered marketing to homeowners, businesses and HOA's. In addition the Oversight Committee will be put into place. That will be the tying thread to keep everyone honest.
I feel like a broken record. This organization is solid in its foundation. If future leadership holds to its core principals of openness and integrity, it will be around for a long time helping contractors of all size grow their business.
When Offcially do founder memberships start? 2010 or do they end march 2010?
