He then picked his nastiest store that they wash down with a water hose on a weekly basis
 
Just got Back from MCd's they were washing it when i pulled up. the dude was smoking and chilling out drinking coffee. cleaning with one arm only. he saw me pull up with my rig and started to use both hands. had a surprised look on his face. He wasnt even knocking off any dirt. but he sure did use that 0* to try and remove gum. Spoke to the manager and asked if they were a franchise and she said she cant release that info to me? I asked her if i can have her bosses ph# or email so i can offer her a professional cleaning. she said they have a guy that is doing it right now. didnt you see him when you walked in? I said yes and thats why Im here. to help your store look it's best and give off a clean first impression to your customers. I offered to do a demo later in the day, she denied. so what now? I need to know who the owner of the store is and set up a meeting/demo? how do i get that info any takers?
 
The guy washing was her boyfriend, sounds like.
The DM's info should be posted somewhere around the counter.
 
Call and speak with a different manager and ask them. Usually people will give you the info no problem. Its important to speak with the decision maker. Sounds like she had an attitude anyway.

be very persistant, Take photos of the damage. I have been trying to get in touch with my Owner for over 3 months. Yesterday they slipped at the office and gave me his cell number of I would still be trying to catch up with him.
 
There are 4 mcdonalds near me all owned by the same franchisee...honestly the stores always look terrible--gum,grime grease you name it...Ive see on more than one occasion uniformed mcdonalds workers cleaning the outside (I should say attempting to) and also doing what looked like light landscaping work...this guy must be cheap. Im going to go after my local BK in spring
 
I was in San Antonio yesterday and stopped by there and had lunch and luckily the maintenance guys were there changing out seat tops so I started talking to them.

We had a long conversation and they informed me that one day the local EPA supervisor saw them pressure washing the property and the runoff was going into the street gutters and down into the stormwater drains.

He told me that the EPA guy gave them a warning that to not do that again because it will be a $20,000 fine if they are caught and he told me that the EPA guy met with his boss so they stopped all pressure washing.

I told him about how I could recover the water, process it and make that place clean without any water going into the streets, gutters or stormwater drains.

He took my cards and told me that he has a scheduled meeting with his supervisor and will bring this "sore" subject up and talk about it.

He told me that all of South Texas was told to stop pressure washing to prevent fines, I think that they just do not know about new, modern methods of cleaning.

I forgot to ask if they were franchises or corporate.

Here in my city, there are around 13 of them and I know that they are franchises.

A few years ago I was trying to get a demo with the Maintenance supervisor for almost a year and I finally got to the meeting which would be 2 weeks away I called to verify and found out that he was promoted to another position.

I started to contact the new Maintenance supervisor and finally got him after 2 months trying and he told me that they would not need my services.

About 2 weeks later I am driving home from working all nite and see the McDonalds parking lot and street flooded. I am thinking Hmmmmmm..... Let's take a look at this.

I go and look around and there are like a million wand marks all over the place and it looks like crap! No gum removed, still have the oil stains on the driveway, just moved around some dirt.

And they don't need my services????? Wow!

Some of the locations here are 24 hours now so that would be interesting if I could get in with them.

I will contact them and see about now, maybe they are tired of looking at how filthy those locations are?

Cleaning two stores tonight and tomorrow night for them, will look over everything and sign contract on friday afternoon if everything is well. I will post pics of this after the negotiations are completed.
 
Kevin He was a Mcd's employee he had the shirt and all. i think he was the general maint. man for a few stores. but i totaly agree with you about "class" had my rig on the truck because i had worked that night and had to take my kid to school, all i was doing was trying to get some more info on who the person is i should talk to. (by the was there was no water recovery here either all water just running off)

Ron, almost all the McDonalds here in north Florida are run by a single company. I have talked to them a couple times in the past but they said they get a lot of the work done in house. Is there any way you know of to get a company to quit doing pressure washing in house and outsource it?
