Las Vegas Garage Cleaning Event 2013

With the garage cleaning event put on exclusively by Jim Gamble of Crystal Cleaning Company of Antioch, California, I thought it fitting to bring back some old memories of when he first learned about basic filtration from Scott Stone, an experienced garage cleaner, the owner of "A Mind for Detail" from Mesa, Arizona.

Thanks to this 2008 event put on by Ron Musgraves of National Cleaning Expo, Jim had the opportunity to view how a three part separator works for the first time. These events are worthwhile for any powerwasher as Jim will attest since he has increased his income to the point now where he not only can pay for his own lodging at conventions, but is now putting on an event of his own!

His Las Vegas event has been said (by him) to be the first event where contactors can actually demo equipment themselves. Apparently he forgot the first event he attended hosted by Ron Musgraves where everyone was allowed to use the equipment.

Finally, in this clip, Jim, having made the commitment of going to Ron's roundtable, hits paydirt when he learns some basic information about pump rebuilding which was sure to save him money in the future since he is schooled in the fact that he doesn't have to replace the most expensive part everytime by more experienced mechanics like Russ Johnson and Scott Stone.

My hat's off to Jim for giving back what he has learned in just four short years.

Minor correction, I hosted that round and bought all the goodies. Surely Jim remembers since we was trying to take as much as he could. I sure hope he thinks to supply gloves and safety glasses for all that are there to demo equipment..

Sorry Scott, you are absolutely right. I am sure you are proud to see Jim go from eager student to instructor in four short years having been instrumental in his early education.

I don't know where he would have had room to put it with all the safety glasses and gloves he took that Scott provided. Would have had to make two trips.

Maybe Matt Johnson could have let him store some of it in his hotel room he required Ron to pay for in exchange for talking a few minutes about first aid.

Wow, these guys sure have come a long way since then.

Just another couple of examples of how roundtables help the newest of part-time and struggling contractors and turn them into premier event hosts, internet vendors and world renowned experts on the EPA.

Can anyone think of a more effective fast track to success than attending these events? Jim and Matt are proof.

Congratulations and good luck in your future as event coordinators.

Tony It was a Correction on the room, lets be truthful. Scott said not me if we made the room count he would get a room but no promises. After the event he Flat Lied and said I promised a room when in fact I never discussed the room with him prior to the event. I paid for the room because he was attempting to tarnish my name. Extortion was more like it, fine examples of actors in this industry.

I was actually Pissed at Scott for inviting him period and said the guy would start trouble.

So the Garage cleaning event has 40 people at 350 so that equals 14,000 plus 8 vendors at 1000 or 500 each that another lets say 5000.00 so 19,000 isnt bad for 4 years experience.

Isn't the 350$ for the room?

Sorry Doug its 329 each Plus 39 plus tax in Las Vegas Thats only 12,831 Dollars and 8 Vendors at lets Say 800 each 6400 19,231 dollars for the event revenue not including the Rooms If every Person stays that another 9120.00 bucks

Its a lot to give a Three day Block for 40 people and keep them entertained , I'm sure they will do it somehow.

Babe Ruths Daughter is Speaking also , I actually would like to meet her. Maybe I'll see her in the lounge area

You have to remember the proceeds are going to Jerry's Kids

Maybe Jerry will POP in

I do not see the event Listed, I'm sure its a Mistake http://mda.org/search/site/las vegas event John would have gotten legal approval, these orgs have much paper work to fill out and requirements you have to fulfill.

The important thing is Seeing a Check, who will present the check. Should be pretty exciting since the dollar amount is crazy. I'll donate if they want. Its a good cause

It says a portion of the proceeds. I am not saying this would happen, but $5 qualifies as a portion of the proceeds. Actually a buck qualifies but I think they might get generous. Incidentally, in the fine Jim Gamble tradition, it is a legal tax avoidance technique.

We have night work until Wednesday the 27th, but on Wed or Thursday if anyone gets tired of working for Jim and wants to break away and take a glimpse of our operation give me a call and maybe we can take ride to look at a few accounts.

That's worth the trip right there..very nice of you Tony.

If anyone is there early we are working near 215 and Jones in North Las Vegas this morning. It is a filter svc, condenser cleaning and a bid for evaporator cleaning so I will be there.

Or you could go to Carnevino at the Palazzo / Venitian and get a really good steak.
