Russ Spence, call me when you get a chance. ANYTIME.
Russ and I have been playing phone tag for 2 weeks. I don't really expect him to call anytime soon. I do want to meet up with him in Shreveport though. Merry Christmas Ron.
Why in the world would you spray something 8 TIMES to get it clean?I can guarantee after 2 applications of cleaner and it's not clean there is going to be equipment taken apart and repaired or replaced. There is no way I would keep spraying the same stuff and expecting a different outcome. There is something wrong with your equipment or techniques obviously. The fact that you went over on the crane by quadruple the hours bis is a big indicator that something is wrong.
Is this the soft washing techniques you were taught? There is a time for "Soft washing" and there is time for "Power washing"How many years have you been doing jobs of this scope?I don't care to get into the pissing contest about this guy or that but you posted a very interesting post about a job that went completely off the reservation using this stuff.
Lets discuss the real world results of this product.I don't know what it's made of or what it does(No one answered my earlier question about what it is).I will say this I know what soaps work and ones that I have tried that don't.If I'm going to test a new product I don't think it would be when I'm paying 2 or 3 grand a day for a crane. In the winter when it's slow on a small resi job yeah, but not on this job.I don't know who is a fault for the job going to heck but I'm SHOCKED that the customer still wants to use you again.Or do they just want you to finish the job and move on?
We just completed a 4 hr paint removal from Discount Tire bays in 24 hrs. Live and learn. Our chems didn't work right either.

I guess I don't understand, but the customer (church) just let you run up an unlimited amount of crane time that they paid for? Did you not have to submit a bid? I've always submitted bids on the entire project whether or not I finished in 30 min or 2 weeks, it was that cost and if I went over budget, I just had to eat it. Kudos for you if you got someone to give you unlimited crane time on their dime....you must be a good salesmen. Not knocking ya, just saying that all my customers want a bottom line number.
I wish I would have just kept my big mouth shut and avoided all of this BS. I doubt I will be posting much in the immediate future amd if I could delete this post entirely, then I would be more than happy.
Don't worry , staff will in the morning.
