Whats wrong with black

Another thing and I know Scott Stone dispute this but look at the 95 or so Ford Pickups with there Front Square look. Look at Dodge's from those years and look at the beautiful style of that Truck which is similiar to what it is today.

If you look at Today's Ford, what did they do Differently?? The copied the Dodge's award winning style and who can blame them. ITs always smart to follow the leader.

Yea, but the Ford still gets its 5mpg when the dodge is sitting on the side of the road broken down............... :p

Play357, Why not get a set of brakes put on that trailer? 5000lbs sounds like alot of weight to have no brakes, regardless of the tow vehicle.

You guys trip me out. We have farmers around here that love to take their trucks and tractors where we have a pull skid like at the tractor pulls. We have had several tractors do full pulls but only one truck. That one truck is a 2000 Crew Cab 4x4 Power Stroke Ford that has a chip in it. He said that the only thing that has come close to it was a 4x4 Dodge that almost made a full pull but lost traction he said that the Chevys dont even get close to making it and its not from lack of power its from lack of traction. LOL:)

I do have brakes now. I lagged on those but the Ford's brakes just worked so well. I have a v-10 and 4.30 rear end, I average 8.32 mpg loaded and unloaded it always has a ton in the bed. I drive about 40,000 miles a year and always check my mpg. Maybe 5 mpg in a older model. As for diesel I would love one. They pull better, etc. However 4,500 option price and much higher maintenance and repair costs (according to a Ford service tech the new Ford diesel requires an oil change every 3,000 miles to maintain warranty, and it costs $145.00 at the dealership, too rich for my blood)after the first 100k is too much for my work fleet. A minor diesel problem can cost almost as much to repair as a rebuilt gas motor replacement. Maybe I'm crazy these are just my observations. I think diesels are better suited for larger vehicles.

Just adding to the Ford,gm,dodge war.

In my old biz, I was buying 2 to 5 trucks every 2 years, I had a least 15 trucks. these trucks were used to haul large turck tires and pull trailers full of tires. 75k miles a year was common, I would buy the new model of what ever came out, to try it. The FORD F-250s were the only thing that would last.

Chevy was not put togother well and would always have to go back to the dealer because they forgot to do something at the factory.

Dodge well they have trans problems, couldn't take the hauling.

The Fords were the only one that could take it, the only thing that sure to go worng was the A/C after about 2 - 3 years(it was Florida and A/C is a must)

In my opinion Ford is the best of the three evils. They all seem to have their problems. My Ford came with a faulty torque converter which needed to be replaced, my wife's 2002 explorer side airbag needs service and the rear door has never shut right! Even after Ford supposedly fixed it. My japanese cars never had problems like this.

Faulty Converters, AC breaking down....Gladly to say I never had a problem with my 97 3500 Dodge Diesel Dually which by far has the best Engine in the Industry. I wouldn't be surprised that in a couple of years Fords end up having Cummins engines installed in them. Why not since Ford Already Copied Dodges Sleek Front end look.:)

I heard Dodge is going to be putting the Mercedes(spelling is bad) motor in their trucks pretty soon because Dodge bought them out.
