William, I know that I won't change your mind, I'm not here to change anyone's mind. I personally joined the UAMCC as there is no org, association or anything else up in Canada for Pressure Washers. It always looks good to have an association (IMHO)

There are many associations out there that don't seem to be unionlike though aren't there? Do you agree that it's possible?

Personally William, I'd like to see a guy like you on the BOD or involved in some way. Varying opinions brought together often help to form the most groundbreaking ideas. It also helps to keep everyone in check..
I don't have a problem with the associations like you mentioned. PWNC is an example. I appreciate your vote of confidence for me. I am probably not the type that could/would help. I only share info with people I know and really prefer if more washing business failed as it would only benefit my bottom line. Selfish to say, but I am in the business to make money, not help others make money. Other than that I am really a nice guy:) As much as I hate the union, I call many of their members friends. Ken Fenner is an example. Guy Blackmon would be the first one I would call if I needed help in NC and Jeff Lecours is a stand up guy. I don't dislike the idea of an org as a whole, I just don't like the stance and direction that this one is heding in.

Scott, what could you recommend that would help prevent the price fixing and radical advertising? Something that would make you feel comfortable?

I feel an independent panel of non-members working in conjunction with the new BOD would be a good step in the right direction.
They get no benefits of the ORG,but can give open, honest opinions on what the broad range of contractors would see as damaging marketing and pricing structures.

To be honest pricing structures shouldn't be the concern of an ORG.,but things happen.

See I'm more than just a pretty face that can clean concrete like a machine.I have a brain and it's not always full of rage and negative thoughts. Now if I could get the voices to stop I would be OK.

Would this group of contractors sit in on all meetings with the BOD? Why not run for the new BOD position?

This is a time when all these policies are going to be getting hashed out. This is the time to offer your opinions in a constructive manner (not that I am suggesting that you are not constructive).

Scott, I think this is a good idea. I don't understand the pricing structure thing though. How would the "You Know Who" influence that? I ask with an open mind.

I think it's something to consider.Aside from financial matters of the ORG

Me BOD? I'm not a member so that disqualifies me.

Guy, how do you get past the way a bunch of painters and 23% pressure washers talk down about those in the industry who are not UAMCC members as if that little shaking hands logo all the sudden makes them a top-notch pressure washer? You should be offended by that .

I don't agree with it at all, I won't use offended, that gets used too much. And if they think that being a member makes them better than a non-member, well I'd just have to call them stupid!!!!!

Ron, the UAMCC was not a business (CA corporation) until 2009. Everyone that donated money knew exactly what they were doing. Money was given to Carlos personally, in good faith, to be used towards the development of the organization. There is no tax premise there. One could ask Carlos for pre-corporate formation of bank statements but he would not be under any obligation to make them public. Many people gave cash. No one was looking for a tax break. It was a bunch of contractors coming together to better the industry. Like many transactions of the days before lawsuits and legal-eze, things were done with good faith. The good faith was well placed or those same people that donated would not have joined the organization when it formally started taking memberships.

Ok.....Thanks for explaining

Seems this KEEPS going on and on, Same people
You know I hope the UAMC does answer those questions next week sometime. I remember Jeff saying to me that if they answer all 26 questions there will always be more....and he is right. But as long as The UAMCC stays honest and true then they have nothing to hide.

160 members and lets say 150 are contractors and 10 are vendor members then that would make the total 150 x $393 for contractors and 10 x $575 with the total of $58950 + $5750= $64700 Then along comes the Convention that had in the neighborhood of 150 people paying for booths and going to the Convention---Lets say just to make this easy but not exactly accurate thats another 150 x$200 and thats another $30,000. So now you have if nothing was spent $94,700. So now you have to figure the Convention probably cost the $30,000 if not more but lets stick with that. This brings us right back to the original $64,700.

Now the questions again towards Carlos are these.

27-Did you let some vendors have free memberships over other Vendors who spent there hard earned money to be members? If so how many Vendors were given free rides and what was the reason for this.

28- I'm betting that most UAMCC members don't know this but since the original TT members get a free 5 yr membership who else is getting a free membership and how did you come to the agreement that the TT members get this tremendous pass with the UAMCC?? Is there a record of this showing who was involved in this decision and were the rest of the UAMCC members notified of this??

29- Pay close to this one....Was there any member that may have won a prize who actually was a distributer of the prize he won??

30--When is the membership going to see your contract and who authorized you to have this contract with no outsiders given a chance to put in a bid on this??

There is more I can ask but thats it for now. The sooner they answer the sooner we can all move on.

A quick note about me. I know some of the UAMCC members are hurt by me asking questions because they want with all there might to believe in the ED and I can understand that. They could even blindly believe in him because of the great start he HAD with this org.

But when he embarrasses me and my wife like the way he did in Orlando then now I look at it like he dragged my family in this and when that happens there is no holds barred. SO if he thinks I was wrong about dragging in his family member here he can think that. I as a past member and the current members have a right to know how his family member was paid when my wife and many other wifes volunteered. If the ED paid his family member and it was done in fairness then thats OK in my book. But remember he did embarrass me with my wife and that shows ZERO class and like my friends and especially my family I defend them with all I have and I don't care if others like it or not.

Jeff says I asked for an apology....All I asked was for them to do something instead of brushing me and Rob under the Carpet and at least with me its not going to happen.

Rob is a big boy and he can take care of himself and yes he is still way pissed and its going to take awhile for him to get past that but as for me I will keep firing back with legitimate questions and none of my questions are just made up to keep the ED running.

There put up to make the UAMCC answer them and for them to show there true colors and hopefully for there sake there colors are true.

For the supporters I have now and to also my friends in the UAMCC this is a good time for some truths to come out so we can all move on.

IF the UAMCC takes the stance and hide and just hope they can get membership without revealing the truths then I will keep doing what I do since they decided to not offer any resolutions for me and my good friend Rob.

Like I told them in numerous PM's me and Rob will not be made to be the problems with them when we did nothing wrong. If the ED thinks we were wrong with something let him state it somewhere which I'm guessing he hasn't because he to doesn't know what we did wrong except for not following him blindly and that should never happen as I see it is happening now with some of the UAMCC members.

So All if and when the UAMCC takes a stance instead of hiding we all will review there answers on a public forum and if the consensus is that the UAMCC has finally done the right thing then we should let it go and move on.

If they don't tell the truth such as what the story is with there not for profit status and how there going about getting members then maybe the IRS investigation unit needs to be notified because its free of charge for this to happen and as of right now NO ONE and I mean that wants to go that far. So lets wait and see if the ED wants to tell us the truth about why he got into this org business in the first place along with those questions.

Can we beat this dead, abused and beaten horse Any more? Curious that it is always John at the root of the problem, no matter who is in charge.

The history has shown the same three or four people in the mess.

Only this time we all know this.

Ignore them, they carry nothing but negative destruction.

You can add others to the list if behind the scenes gossip keepers.

Sad
