UAMCC will they answer the Questions??

You know I hope the UAMC does answer those questions next week sometime. I remember Jeff saying to me that if they answer all 26 questions there will always be more....and he is right. But as long as The UAMCC stays honest and true then they have nothing to hide.

160 members and lets say 150 are contractors and 10 are vendor members then that would make the total 150 x $393 for contractors and 10 x $575 with the total of $58950 + $5750= $64700 Then along comes the Convention that had in the neighborhood of 150 people paying for booths and going to the Convention---Lets say just to make this easy but not exactly accurate thats another 150 x$200 and thats another $30,000. So now you have if nothing was spent $94,700. So now you have to figure the Convention probably cost the $30,000 if not more but lets stick with that. This brings us right back to the original $64,700.

Now the questions again towards Carlos are these.

27-Did you let some vendors have free memberships over other Vendors who spent there hard earned money to be members? If so how many Vendors were given free rides and what was the reason for this.

28- I'm betting that most UAMCC members don't know this but since the original TT members get a free 5 yr membership who else is getting a free membership and how did you come to the agreement that the TT members get this tremendous pass with the UAMCC?? Is there a record of this showing who was involved in this decision and were the rest of the UAMCC members notified of this??

29- Pay close to this one....Was there any member that may have won a prize who actually was a distributer of the prize he won??

30--When is the membership going to see your contract and who authorized you to have this contract with no outsiders given a chance to put in a bid on this??

There is more I can ask but thats it for now. The sooner they answer the sooner we can all move on.

A quick note about me. I know some of the UAMCC members are hurt by me asking questions because they want with all there might to believe in the ED and I can understand that. They could even blindly believe in him because of the great start he HAD with this org.

But when he embarrasses me and my wife like the way he did in Orlando then now I look at it like he dragged my family in this and when that happens there is no holds barred. SO if he thinks I was wrong about dragging in his family member here he can think that. I as a past member and the current members have a right to know how his family member was paid when my wife and many other wifes volunteered. If the ED paid his family member and it was done in fairness then thats OK in my book. But remember he did embarrass me with my wife and that shows ZERO class and like my friends and especially my family I defend them with all I have and I don't care if others like it or not.

Jeff says I asked for an apology....All I asked was for them to do something instead of brushing me and Rob under the Carpet and at least with me its not going to happen.

Rob is a big boy and he can take care of himself and yes he is still way pissed and its going to take awhile for him to get past that but as for me I will keep firing back with legitimate questions and none of my questions are just made up to keep the ED running.

There put up to make the UAMCC answer them and for them to show there true colors and hopefully for there sake there colors are true.

For the supporters I have now and to also my friends in the UAMCC this is a good time for some truths to come out so we can all move on.

IF the UAMCC takes the stance and hide and just hope they can get membership without revealing the truths then I will keep doing what I do since they decided to not offer any resolutions for me and my good friend Rob.

Like I told them in numerous PM's me and Rob will not be made to be the problems with them when we did nothing wrong. If the ED thinks we were wrong with something let him state it somewhere which I'm guessing he hasn't because he to doesn't know what we did wrong except for not following him blindly and that should never happen as I see it is happening now with some of the UAMCC members.

So All if and when the UAMCC takes a stance instead of hiding we all will review there answers on a public forum and if the consensus is that the UAMCC has finally done the right thing then we should let it go and move on.

If they don't tell the truth such as what the story is with there not for profit status and how there going about getting members then maybe the IRS investigation unit needs to be notified because its free of charge for this to happen and as of right now NO ONE and I mean that wants to go that far. So lets wait and see if the ED wants to tell us the truth about why he got into this org business in the first place along with those questions.

Wow John another late night at the precinct I see!!!

Great Math skills by the way!!!

First let me say that I am speaking as a member, but I want to give these a shot.

#27.. Can't speak for the vendors, if you have first hand knowledge, then out with it. Put up or Shut up!

#28.. I knew and don't care, they volunteer their time, it's only fair.

#29..The person is a contractor member I believe, is the Uamcc obligated to do checks on the business status of members? I know who gave you that one by the way!!!!!

#30.. 250k is not nearly enough money to put up with the crap the ED takes. Are you putting in your bid John, it would do well for your ego, but then again your ego is so large it would demand a salary also.

A quick note about you???? Well now there a surprise!!!!!!

When did the ED embarrass you and your wife!!! This is the first I've heard about this??? Please explain!!!! And dragged your family into what???? I have looked through the posts on both boards and can't find anything on this.

Are you talking about Carlos's wife being paid or when Madison worked in the office over the Summer. Either way I hope he's got some kind of help!!!

Jeff didn't say, you demanded an apology and his banning from the Uamcc for a year.

Rob's a big boy?? That has got to be the biggest put down that gets used to often. Rob's a Man and a Professional in my book, let him speak for himself, don't drag him into your Drama!!!!!!

Lets see whats next.... Hmmmmmm. Oh, the IRS thing!!!!

John, you are a sworn Law Enforcement Officer, and as such you are duty bound to report illegal activity of any kind to the proper authorities, not doing so means you are derelict in your duties as a police officer, and if the charges are true (and I hope there not for your sake) Then the evidence of you knowing about this illegal activity is here on the boards. Food for thought.

Well Is That It John?????? Is That All You Got???????? Come On Man You've Come This Far!!!!! Let It All Go, Tell It All John, I'm A Big Boy I Can Take It!!!!!!!

Remember You're Doing This For The Good Of The Membership!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guy yup I am doing this for the good of the members. I didn't know Carlos's wife was on the payroll but thanks for the info. There is one or two more loopholes that has to be jumped thru to see if anything was done criminally wrong. So far it doesnt look to good but it may be so minor that its not worth the headaches to dig deeper. But I can tell you that since Carlos has embarrased my wife and I and he acts like F you I pick who I want when I want and where I want and I say how much we spend etc.etc....the Red flags went off.

So yes I am doing this for the good of the Members and so far I have many members who feel like they have been hood winked. Only time will tell. Untill them I plan on pressurering the ED until all truths come out....all of them and if he is clean then our questions were answered so we can all move on.

I just hope one day Guy you don't call me and say why didn't you do this sooner and my answer would be because I didn't know anything was wrong until quite a few pointed it out to me and then I saw it first hand when Carlos made statements on the Net that he and only he makes the decisions. I pushed him and thats how he responded so he is busted with that. Maybe not criminal but a control freak for sure who does not play by the rules and if thats the case then he will be exposed.

Hey Guy,
My wife and I went up to Carlos to let him know that we were going to the Texas RT and if he would like I would speak in the UAMCC's behalf to help them spread the word and maybe recruit some new members. Carlos response to us was that we should not be concerned about the Texas RT and there not even thinking about it...so that was that.

Soon after I find out that Mike K was already asked and he declined so they went to Jeff Lacour who said he would do it. Part of Jeff's expenses were paid for him to go if he wanted to go which he did.

I told this to my wife and she said the same thing I was thinking..."Why wouldn't Carlos just tell us that no we can't do that?? Carlos then let it out on the net that he picks who goes to these RT's and they have to be TT members only and he decides how much where going to spend to send these guys there.

I never knew that and I offered to do it on my dime. In talking with other TT members that is not true what Carlos said that only TT members can talk about the org at a RT. I was told any UAMCC member in good standing can talk about the org.

So with Carlos not telling me and my wife the truth about this it was embarassing and I would never skirt the truth about him on any matters.

So there you have it. My wife thought I had a friend in Carlos but I guess I did not. The whole damn thing was hurtful and I don't like it when someone makes my wife feel like that.

Call me a baby it doesn't matter but when my wife says she was embarassed at her very first UAMCC Convention then I take that seriously and of course this is another thing that the ED has avoided besides ripping me a new one on the UAMCC bb telling me that he is the one who makes these decisions and thats that. This was not the reason I joined this org to get ripped into by a Weed Wacker Landscape guy.

So now you know. And another thing I was home last night in case you want to know where I was.

Yes any member can Talk about the Uamcc John, But as a Rep. for the Org. at an RT you would want somebody that's done this quite a few more times and knows a little more about the Org. than you do. I want a starter not a backup.

Sounds like you jumped the gun, don't you think if Carlos would have wanted you there he would have asked you?

I don't understand the embarrassed part, only you, your wife and Carlos knew about this (Until Now) Why would she be embarrassed at the convention????? Why is this being brought out now, I don't remember you posting anything about being embarressed after the convention. Sounds like you should of taken up for your Wife right then and there, I Know I Would Have If She Was Mine.

Maybe Carlos was concerned that you were a loose cannon? The way that you have represented yourself recently does not bode well to how you would have represented the UAMCC. I'm sure that you are a very upstanding individual with strong morals and integrity. However I am not convinced that if faced with adversity, you would react in a professional manner. You seem to be a bit of a hothead...No offense intended, if you recall the PM's that we shared, this is much the same as I tried to get you to realize then. Your approach needs some refining in order to be taken more seriously.
Where you have said that you will speak your mind, many others try the subtle approach.

Perhaps what you perceive as Carlos trying to embarass you was actually him trying to spare your feelings. It appears that for whatever reason he did not feel that you were ready for this, and did not want to come right out and say that. I know that I would try a more subtle approach to this myself with an eager employee or even my children. Who wants to say to someone that they are not ready, that could damage your self esteem or dampen your enthusiasm.

I hate to think that your wife was embarassed, that is very unfortunate. I wonder though, is she not a thousand times more embarassed now?

As to Carlos letting it out on the net that he picks who goes, I remember this thread, it seemed to me that he had stepped in to diffuse your attack on Jeff and as a good leader take on the responsibility of it.

If there is wrong doing, I'm sure we would all like to know about it, but settle down and give the guy a chance to respond. Goodness knows that if I were him I would read my responses over about a thousand times before releasing anything to a crowd that is so obviously out for my blood!

And when I say wrong doing, I certainly am not meaning some system wasn't always exactly followed to the letter. These gentleman have had a huge amount of work to do, with not many hands to do it with. I certainly hope we wouldn't fault them for a couple of small slip ups. I wonder if as a police officer you ever fall behind on doing up your reports? I have a friend who works so much OT that he is always behind on the paperwork. I ask this only to try and help you see the similarity of a busy persons schedule.

Good luck to you John, I hope that you come out of this with what you need to make you a happier person on the inside.
I sadly do not think that it will though, the only thing that will mend hurt feelings (which I really think is the root of all this) is time and perhaps mending fences, not ripping them down.

JT, if it's hurt feelings then get over it.
If there's fire behind the smoke lay it out there. Stop asking questions and start making statements. Spill the beans or eat them.

It might be time to give someone else a chance on the speaking thing.
If 50% of the time allotment is used for word whiskers and incoherent rambling then it's not an effective use of face time for the org, no matter how nice and sincere the representative is.

I may be wrong Big Guy, but not until Jan.1 2010.

The Uamcc is set up as a 501c 6 supposedly. The By-laws state that the TT will be maiking these choices.

Carlos is no WAY make these choices, I did not sign up for that. When did that Change and when did you hear it did?

I will demand my money back along with the other 52 folks that have contacted me in support of getting it back unless these questions are answered.

In fact if that the way its is then alot of folks where mislead.

He started Taking donations for this 501c6 in August 2008... have we filed 2008?????

Surprise..........Plus another distributor donated 1000.00 in 2008 so we went clear over the IRS statue 1100,00 dollars in 2008.

Where is the TAX records?????????

We keep saying we only started in 2009, that BS. Started excepting donations in 2008

Ron which is, the Bod or the TT? For the record I also think you should get your money back too.

Never mind, thanks for the call my friend.

The policy for speaking at meetings (hard to believe this is actually a point of contention) was a group decision. We were the guys doing it so whomever was closest to the gathering did the speaking. John, I was not privy to hear the conversation or tone that transpired between the three of you so I will not discount your feelings. Sometimes how things are said are more emotionally affective than than what is actually said. I do ask you to understand that I agree it was prudent for Carlos to have TT members do the speaking for the time being. You could have offered support in Texas and still have been effective. In NY, it was myself, Rob, Jeff and Carlos. Carlos did the speaking and the rest of us helped individual contractors. It was a team effort. It's always been a team effort. It may not seem like that to some, but I was on the inside and I am qualified to make statements on the topic. Never once did Carlos throw down law. That's not how he leads.

What some are doing now is Monday morning play calling. The game was on Sunday. The business plan was out there for everyone to see. Though I'm not positive, I believe the bylaws were out there. There was a temporary website up with our mission statement and goals. A BBS was setup with threads about volunteering and other threads about suggestions for the org. Pictures of timelines, proposed regional breakdown and weekly updates also adorned the pages of the BBS. The responding sound of crickets was deafening. We tried to do everything we were supposed to do to set a plan for an organization that would aid contractors. What we could not do was force someone to sit down and make an honest assessment of the outlines. That was on the shoulders of individual contractors.

Those were the very early days. If anyone saw issues or had the foresight of potential issues, I am confused why those were not brought up then? My answer may have a cynical sting to it but my feeling is because most people could not be bothered. Everyone had a "you build it and if its good we will come" attitude. That's fine but it does represent a forfeiture of being able to drag the organization through the mud later on as the whim hits. Questions.. yes. Character attack? No. All of a sudden we have an abundance of nonprofit experts, financial analysts, IRS law interpreters and moral police that feel the need to flex their formerly hidden and collective expertise.

Questions are good and are welcome. I have my own list of questions. In fact, I spoke to Carlos last night and probably offended him a few times. His answer was steadfast and the same one that is in public. Everything is documented and every question will be answered next week. John, things that are said now may affect policy from here on out. Management and more directly Carlos himself has to be careful about how things are presented and worded. Legal counsel is always given appropriate time to make sure it can present a defense in its entirety with all facts checked prior to making its case.

John, it would be a great idea to have all of your questions ready and presented to the organization at one time. That will help preclude further delays and allow the org to move forward or make necessary changes. If you piece meal your questions this will drag on for eternity. At some point, we as members are going to feel ripped off not by UAMCC management, but by the time spent defending itself against agendas. There are many things on the plate for the 2010 furthering of the business plan. We members want to see the regions established. If not already, at a point in the near future, this will no longer be a Q&A session between the org and the industry, it will be an agenda driven by personal feelings. The organization membership is made up of business owners. If the org passes the test of the current questions to the satisfaction of its membership, future energy will most likely be spent on more productive endeavors.

Ron, the UAMCC was not a business (CA corporation) until 2009. Everyone that donated money knew exactly what they were doing. Money was given to Carlos personally, in good faith, to be used towards the development of the organization. There is no tax premise there. One could ask Carlos for pre-corporate formation of bank statements but he would not be under any obligation to make them public. Many people gave cash. No one was looking for a tax break. It was a bunch of contractors coming together to better the industry. Like many transactions of the days before lawsuits and legal-eze, things were done with good faith. The good faith was well placed or those same people that donated would not have joined the organization when it formally started taking memberships.
