Guess the number of Years people have in Pressure washing?

Those are some good videos Ken.

Is that guy hand-rubbing stain in that one video? If so, is that needed for a particular kind of wood or why do it that way? Just wondering.

Thanks, Chris. Hardwoods like ipe are hard to get stain to penetrate. With the product we were using, you have to wipe off any excess that is still puddling after ten minutes.

Chris, I am definitely still looking at Texas. There is another business opportunity down there that I am exploring. Looks like I'll be stuck in PA for another winter season as I have a terminally ill sister in law that is touch and go and of course I have to make sure the residential division of PP is in good hands. I'll definitely let you know any updates about the switchover.

Sorry to hear about your terminally ill sister in law, it is good that you are there for them as it will be a time of great sorrow, emotions going lots of different directions and everyone will need someone there for them.

I did not know if you were going to keep the business growing or sell it.

Hope things go well with the family.

Ron, who at MB raised thier hand at 10 years but only has 3 years that you can confirm? Just curious.

Anyhow, I have been PW for 8 years in January. As a sole proprietor until 2006 and then as an LLC after that.

Mike lets just say it was not you, the person knows who they are. It doesnt really matter if people try to be someone they are not. Customers eventually read right thru the bs.

Miss representing is wrong....cause I wash some laundry when i was 7 of helped my dad wash the house doesnt mean i have 38 years experience.

I am at a 'los for words. You mean I haven't been in construction for 42 years because of that sand castle? I guess I'll take that off my resume.:groucho:

Thats great Mike you have been in business nearly three years. I'm glad you have the integrity to actaully not use prior work experience for your business. Firstchoice is 3 years old, very cool that your comfortable and carry yourself as a success only after three years.

Your confidence tells me your will likely by your choice be around many more.

Dont get me wrong, being successfull doesnt mean you have to be in business a long time. I have seen people go out of business that have been in business years because they would not change.

Solely do to your internet pressence you will be around.

I told Dj the other day I was impressed, apparently he was upset about something again I was accused of saying again behind his back.

I have always said the kids cocky, remind me of myself when I was young or even maybe still.LOL

I never said DJ would not be around, just maybe be more respectfull of the people around him. We all could show each other more respect. The old saying respect yourself and others will respect you.

We didn't incorporate till Jan 2006 so I guess we're only three years too. I guess I could search out my old business licenses.

... 18 months here - don't claim to be 'mr. experience' but have 10 years experience at all levels in the service industry, listen to any and all information (read between the lines where necessary), educated, run another business and plenty of enthusiasm.

looking forward to the 18 years.:wave3:

No Ron.... 8 years. Sole Proprietor is still a Business. Internet is where most of our leads come from, but it is little to do with success of a business. Leads mean nothing without ability to sell at a profitable rate.

I highly respect your efforts, your a true success story in itself. I remember meeting you before you had put one rig together, now you have a second. Your a contractor I would recommend to anyone.

WoW, see many have said you have only been in business a few years.

You have been around longer than Ken. Interesting to see the actual time people have been around.

I cleaned my first coil at age 12 at Deen's electric in Columbia, TN. (Uncle's business) Been cleaning coils for 32 years! :thank_you2:

Seriously though, I'm new in the concrete cleaning business. But I'm a fast learner. :eek:k:

I took piano lessons at age 5. 39 years as a pianist.:clapping::slap:

Hey Ron, you can save this post and bring it back up as proof of my inexperience when I start the United Mobil Association of Concrete Cleaners next year. I'll raise my hand when asked at 20 years because I rinsed off my driveway 20 years ago.:jester:

'm still a newbie at 18 months and can attribute alot of success and trouble free days to the members of this board as well as the vendors that support us all.
