Even the HVAC guys have a section for religion and politics. They aren't business owners, for the most part. They are mean spirited and cocky because most of them are simply employees who want to "stick" it to the man and take it out on everybody on the boards.

Yet even these guys can disagree about religion without too much incident. (and they have 101,000 members)

I know we could to. What's to keep someone from starting religious discussions in Mindless Blabbering right now? There's no rule against it is there?

I agree with that point. There is no favoritism, no special heading. As I said before, isn't that what mindless blabbering is all about. Politics, religion, state of the country, what ever mindless or deeply intense thought you want to share. On a side note, there are some crazy one sided idiots on the hvac board.

Let me start by saying that I skipped forward from top of page two to here......

There is a hack for v-bulletin for Groups - they are somewhat open but can be private. Beth has them on TGS. Ron - Scott, why not look into that feature for these guys that want certain things. Example - on TGS there is a group for woodies, a group for PWNC, a group for log homes. The same principal can be applied here......if Al wants a place that he can interact with his Christian counterparts on PWI, it is doable without putting their (or our) discussions in the general public view, hence, no religious arguments.

Just my opinion. And for the record, I respect Al's request and support it except I feel like there are still some children in the sandbox that will turn what has all intentions of being good, into a huge mess.

And so far the Only debates, arguments or even disagreements we have even remotely had are the ones opposing it and out of Respect even that is down to a minimum and I would like to keep it that way.
That is why I am posting here

Someone suggested that you don't need a designated area to post anything spiritual that they had you had the right to post it as long as it was under the guidelines of Anything goes, just keep it clean, please!
So I Did!!!
Due to respect of others...I have not posted all over the boards on this subject, I have kept it limited to my own Thread.

All I asked is if you are going to moderate me under strict guidelines, it is only fair that you moderate others under the same strict guidelines.

Could not agree more. It needs to be level ground for everyone.

Sure, and I want to kep it that way. In my mind I did not moderate you, because I did not add or remove anything from a post. I do not see however, how a discussion on "if Salvation can be lost" cannot degenerate into an argument on different religious philosophies. So often those same philosophies drop into semantics that are anything but uplifting and inspirational.
BTW, I believe salvation can be lost. As an example, David lost his salvation because not only did he have intercourse with Bathsheba, but he sent her husband to the front lines to be killed so he would not be found out. Also, if Salvation cannot be lost, why is there a need for repentance? It would be a wasted effort if no matter what, once you believed in Christ you were saved, and would deny all the biblical prophecies.

And now, you can see how it can degenerate into an argument that is anything but uplifting and inspiring.

I myself find it comical to watch the masses argue myths.

Scott you are discussing religion on the wrong thread. Please see: ....Favorite Bible Verse...... for further discussion...:D:p:D:p:D

BTW, A lot of people are going to agree with what you stated above, and a lot will disagree. Let's just see how it plays out.

I got all crossed up.

Oh well, I know that I am right. :p

this is a email from one on my family members that I just received, He is schedule to basically have the top of his skull removed to allow room for his Brain.

Hi Everyone!
This is a request for prayer and cards and pictures. Austin's surgery for his head is scheduled for July 29, at 10:00am, and may take about four hours. During one of his previous hospital stays, he noticed that other children's rooms were decorated with balloons, cards, etc. and thought they were having birthday parties in their rooms. What do you think about us decorating Austin's room this time? I thought I would get some balloons and decorate as soon as a room was available for him. And if we had cards and pictures for him to open after the surgery, he could then put them up on the wall near his bed. If anyone wants to make cards or pictures for him, you could mail them to me and I will get them together to give to Melissa or Mary.

I know this is email of now "MY" prayer request is off topic in a way, lets make a place to post it elsewhere, so we can ask for prayers from others on the board who are willing to put him in their prayers.

Hello everyone,

Praise God, Austin's surgery was a success!! It was a long un-nerving day, but he is resting pretty comfortably now. He is in ICU for a day or 2, so they can watch for any swelling. They had to give him 2 blood transfusions during the surgery, and tonight Melissa said his platelet count is 25.2 and if it drops to 25, they will give him another transfusion. His head is bleeding quite a bit, and they have a tube running out of the top of his head pulling fluid and blood out as well. He has been pretty much out of it today and will hopefully sleep good tonight. The surgeons said they did everything possible to hopefully keep from having to do this surgery again, but its not out of the question. He will go back in 1 year for another head scan, and if 80% of the bone is where it should be, they won't have to do anything, but if it's not, they will have to go back in and build the bone. Said they might have to expand his bone after 5 years. One part of his skull was almost caved in, so they had to pop it back out. The part of his head that was bulged out is now nice and round now. They had to pull his skin very tight when they put it back on his skull, so his scalp is very tight now. They said he will have a lot of swelling in his face tomorrow and his eyes will probably swell shut overnight. Dr's said his head should be dramatically different from before, but not perfect. So please keep praying for our little guy. It's just so hard to see him laying in the hospital with his head all wrapped up and an IV in each arm.

Also, thank you all for your cards and gifts for Austin. When he is awake and feeling better, he will really enjoy opening all of them and hanging the cards, balloons and streamers all over his room. You are all so sweet for doing this for him!!

Austin is doing well....Here is the latest email update
Thanks for the prayers

I wanted to let you all know that Austin is up and running and doing good after his surgery!! His swelling is down and his head is looking great. They stitched his head up this time instead of using staples, so because his hair is longer now, you can't even tell he had surgery when you look at his head. They just had to put 2 staples in the side of his head where they had run the tube and Melissa said he is trying to pull them out...outch!! The only restriction the Dr. had for him is not to get in a pool till after 10 days because of the chemicals. She said once Austin got home and was feeling better, he was so thrilled to get into all his cards and prizes!! They layed out everything he received and wanted to share the pictures with you. WOW...he just had Christmas in July!!!!

So thank you all once again for everything, and most of all for your prayers. We are so thrilled to have this behind us now and feel like we can breathe again. God is so Good!!!!

Love, Mary

Prayers on the way Al.

My son had major brain and stomache surgery 3 times last year and 1 time the previous year for his Hydroencephalitis.

We had a bad scare while I was in Tampa but luckily the medicine took care of the pain or we might be in surgery again.

I understand about the stress, how it pulls on your heart strings and how the emotions flow like crazy.

If you feel like talking, give me a call in the evenings.

I'm not religious at all, I rather stay away from that in any form, but being tolerant is more important. If they need a forum to talk about certain things, and you don't agree or are not interested in, just don't go there, don't read or post.

To give an example, I don't care about the wood part of PW, so I don't even enter that sub-forum.

I also hope that both of your guys get better soon.

Spiritual Support and Encouragement
This is a place for prayer requests, encouragement and support ONLY.

Spiritual Discussions, This a place for Debate and Study

I mention this in a earlier post, Now I want to make a formal request.
Today I created a post where someone lost a family member and I posted it under Mindless babbling.
As it was mention before this is a place that some might seem that you enter at your own risk, Hence the title.
I think we need to add a couple more categories to our forum so we have a place to post things like I posted today and other spiritual things or discussions that don't belong in Mindless babbling.
Now is the time to speak up and voice an opinion! If you would like to see this happen, lets make it happen!

Well I have taken a little break, (However I did make it the the MB RT and enjoyed seeing some guys that I have met previously and a couple of them that I wanted to meet personally.)
That being said after a phone call tonight, I got online to see what all as taken place......
This seems like a good time to Bump up my request....
This might even help to discourage all the bashing /banning that is going on.

For the ones who say it will bring more bashing, feuding arguing ect
All it takes is one Mod to oversee it who see's the positive in what can accomplish instead of the negative.
