Would you like to see Ron start an Org

The Org That Actually Helps Contractors, Not Just Themselves, TOTAHCNJT for short. hahahahahahaha

A National org without a solid local support structure will eventually fall to the ground because there has never been a FOUNDATION to support it. Start local and build up. Just my $10,537.92 worth.

That is an excellent point Celeste. A national org with regional meetings/conferences and a national presence...sounds like a winner to me.

I think this is a great Idea

I dont think there is any need at this point for anything on the National stage, I think it will have to start with localized networking and maybe at some point there can be a regional and God willing if I am still alive them maybe a National org built from that.

IMHO there is no way we will make a National org work as long as EVERYONE wants to continue to try to be the same Alpha male/Johnson measuring contractors.

I think many people know what the right entity would look like, but are afraid of the ripple effect it would cause throughout the industry on a national level or possibly PWNWO. With the right leadership things could be in place within a year's time.

That requires people to be involved. So would you run the south?

That the problem with this, you would not run the south. Can't say I blame you either, with all the last few years of let down who in there right mind would.

I see a completely different way.

We have certified over 200 now.

I think a national will work but it will require no people in direct involvement for two years. Sounds silly but the problem is people.

Someone will , I guarantee that. Money to be made with pms and the org actually being in front of customers someone will take the bull by the horns. This org will work close in the community to procure agreements.

That will be the focus and difference.

I think the regional differences are too strong.

For example out here in the Southwest most of us would be happy if people would just leave us alone and we don't need anymore rules. We let lowballing competition do their thing, then we come in and simply swoop in and cash in after the damages.

On the East coast they like the government to hold their hand and give them rules to work by. They like licensing everybody so the government can "protect" the customers. haha. It's just a regional thing.

On the Left coast they want rules too. Not because they are looking for guidance, like the east coast, but because they want the government to control everybody else and for the rules to not necessarily apply to them.

In the upper midwest their pressure washing season is only about a week anyway then everything freezes again.

South across Texas all the Californians who lost their jobs because of intrusive government regulations are moving to Texas and bringing the same regulations to Texas so they can lose their jobs there too.

The deep south only answers to Russ. He cleans the whole region on a quarterly basis. (Ron would do it every 15 days, but that's just another regional difference) :)

Florida is the only state with so many pressure washers guys like Nick will do commercial work at night, then hire five separate pressure washing companies to clean his roof, his house, his driveway, his trucks, and his boat.

See these regions are all so different. They have different needs and different goals.

Personally I'd like to remain in my region where I understand the local lingo and market.

Uhm, I think Goose was dead when he said that line...kind of ironic.

From afar that looks.like the problem to me. Much like our govt. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Democracys/boards aren't known for getting a lot done anyways, right? Maybe a good ole dictatorship is needed.....

Dictator with term limits. Old retired people would make good BOD, maybe?
