Where is Fayth?

We did go to Post Corner, but I think that one was at the small Frenchy's. We ate at Frenchy's 5 times! OOOOOOOH it hurts so good! Nick was telling me they catch all their own fish!

Post corner was great and has an awesome Greek Pizza! Hella's in Tarpon Springs was otherwise the best Greek food I've ever had.

The last picture in the series was the firepit at the Sand Pearl. We had a lot of fun there too. Two nights we just laid in the sand and napped till past midnight. The temperature was perfect this time. Last year the water was so hot it was uncomfortable.

Jerry, you were right about St. Louis! We didn't have much time to stop there but we did let Fayth see the Arch up kindof close.

Jerry, I sure enjoyed our time with you and wish you could have stayed longer. That bar across the street was surprisingly fun! We're sitting in a hotel in Cedar Rapids Iowa right now. I think we are still snacking on some of the food you left.

John, I've got a lot more to say about our time in New York, but I'm going to wait till I have some time to put pictures to it when we get back.

Shelly's mom in Minnesota has been in the hospital with some heart problems for the past three days. She's the only close family member we didn't get to see on this trip and she's already had two open heart surgeries. We should get to her by tomorrow. After that we have one more place we'd like to take Fayth then we have to make a B-line back to Vegas and spend that lottery money.... yeah right!

Chris and Jill have taken care of everything while we were gone. July is our slowest month by design (because of the heat) and there's nothing Chris can't handle by himself or with a few temp guys. August is heavy, but we have plenty of manpower to deal with it. I don't think it will be the same next year. This was a one time opportunity and we took it.

Fayth is wearing down though. She was homesick today for the first time on this trip. When she see's her Grandma tomorrow maybe that will change and she'll be ok till we get home.

Not too many people get to do a trip like that Tony, life seems to always be in the way. Some of my best times were on trips that we just winged it, you will have great memories of time well spent with the people you love.....Awesome. Glad I got to be a part of your trip and hope to see you guy's again soon.

This entire year has changed a lot of things. Having a stroke will do that to you.

I've driven for eight hours straight many days listening to everything from my daughter singing to the top of her lungs to my wife droning off facts about states and cities we are entering. I've listened to Fayth talk about her feelings meeting cousins she's never met, walking to an island from a boat, helping her mom get up the stairs after a stingray hit and everything in between.

I've listened to Shelly talking about the scenery, our life at home, the history of our country and the health of our relatives.

There's no way on this planet we could spend this much time together at home......or is there?

I left with a goal of having a vacation.

I'm going home with a goal of freedom. I'm 46 years old. I'm not lazy. I've woke up on a 150 degree roof having no idea where I am from a stroke or a heat stroke. I've traveled all over the country trying to help other guys get started doing what I'm doing. I've spent many sleepless nights perfecting what I do and many days putting it into practice. It's been hard work. I'm going to make it pay off no matter what.

It only takes so much money to live life.

Here's something I didn't tell Shelly. ------ At one point in our trip --- in mid Florida I stopped at a red light and looked up in the rear view mirror and saw a semi truck bearing down on us with smoke coming off its tires and the trailer floating to the side. It was too close by the time I looked. You always think you'll just give it some gas at that point and get out of the way, but there was no time, it was too close and I just froze. It stopped within inches of our bumper. They didn't see any of it. Seconds later Shelly and Fayth complained about the stink of rubber burning. I just sat there stunned thinking about how close we came to death. At that point I realized it is my duty to provide for these two in a way that allows me to spend time with them and help them. It's my God given responsibility.

I don't know where we go from here. But I do know things will be different from before. All these stops and pictures are fun, but they are just the tip of the iceburg.

Maybe I wasn't so wrong after all. Its all in the eyes. Love ya buddy and I am very happy that I got to spend some time with you, Shelly and Faith. You always have a friend here in Florida.

Hey Tony--Your tale is so very interesting and life is zipping by so to do what you are doing..is amazing and maybe someone is looking out over you and your family. You bring up two things right there that I went thru and sometimes you wonder why you are lucky where others have not been.

Quick story--- Around 1974 my family was taking our second and last trip to Florida from NY to visit my grandparents and to go to Disney. Its a 1000+ miles trek for us but we loved it. On this second trip while my Dad was driving we are going down a hilly highway. On the way down a tractor trailer rolls up on the back of my fathers car which back then was a Cadilac Eldorado. The truck had to be doing 90 because it went up on our trunk and my dad is doing at least 55. My 2 sisters are in the back seat. This car was big. My oldest sister Donna is laying across the seat sleeping and my other sister JoAnn is sleeping on the floor boards. This happen so suddenly. I'm sitting in the front seat with my parents. My mother yells for my Dad to step on the brakes because there is traffick further ahead. My father like myself when under complete duress his mind gets very focused. My Dad will not slam on the brakes but what he does saves our lives. He tells my mother and me to brace ourselves and he tells my sisters to stay down and do not get up. My Dad begins to tap the brakes to try and slow our car and the truck on the back of our car down. If he slams the Brakes the truck will just go right over us.
My Dad keeps tapping the brakes all the way till we just lightly hit the car in front of us that was almost at a stop and that car goes into another car where in all 6 cars and one truck is involved in this accident.
End result the whole back of our car is crushed down to the back of the front seats. The tractor Trailer lost his brakes which caused the whole accident. The only one hurt is my Mom who gets a very small cut on her leg from the blown out glass. My sisters climbed out thru the bottom of the long doors.----Nobody was hurt. My dad wouldn't even think of suing the truck driver because where happy to be alive and not hurt... One day I'll have to get those pics of our car after the accident. My parents have it. We continued down to FLA. and enjoyed the rest of our trip thinking how lucky we are.

Another time back when I first joined the Navy I went jogging in a wet suit since I use to run all the time. Suddenly while I was apparently crossing church property on the base I went down. I have no recollection of this except my from military folder upstairs. Apparently I suffered from a sudden Heat stroke and I had ammnesia and tremendous internal body pain from the Grand Maul Siezure that I had. I have the witnesses statements in this folder also. It was shocking. I was hospitalized for weeks and for one year I was given non duty status and a do nothing job at Portsmith Hospital in VA(Boy was that fun).. They tried to give me a second seizure thru sleep deprivation and strobe lights but it never happened so they eventually cleared me with no seizure condition but a Heat Stroke and there was scaring on my brain only from the siezure.... I got a great command after that and I never looked back. I stopped my off the wall partying and getting in trouble and I went from very bad evaluations in the Military to an award dinner when I left. Who knows why but like I said I never looked back. The wierd thing about this was I eventually got a pretty high secret clearance where I was the one who put others military records on the Overhead projector that was classified so other higher ups evaulated there suspicious and sometimes odd behavior for the times(Homosexuality being one of them). This was done right down the road from the pentagon.

Funny how some of these things turn out... I can't figure them because of my way of logical thinking but you just never know... like what happened in your case.

Maybe I wasn't so wrong after all. Its all in the eyes. Love ya buddy and I am very happy that I got to spend some time with you, Shelly and Faith. You always have a friend here in Florida.

After 16 hrs of driving I think I finally figured it out. That's why I tried to call you last night. It has nothing to do with my family, health, or business. When you get a chance give me a call and I'll explain what I figured out.

I just tried calling you..... No one answered. Maybe I dialed Russ' # by mistake. Hahaha! I will double check.

Where is she now?

Drivers in this state are the only drivers in the world that even tha Asians make fun of.

Look at these fast lane hogs!

Well I'm sure your not in NJ but thats where the worst drivers are hands down.

I apologize in advance to any Iowegians, but you guys can't drive for s#it.

Most courteous drivers to stay out of the fast lane unless passing has been in Southern Georgia / Northern Florida

Right Larry. She missed a photo
Op with the manager of the place holding a duplicate of the prosthesis. It was my fault, I told her the line was too long and we could come back later. I didnt realize the was the last onw of the day. I could tell she was sad about it even though she didnt complain. I told a lady what happened and she went in the office and got the real piece from the movie for fayth to get her picture with. The movie is coming out sept and is called "a dolphins tale"

My Dad all my life, through my childhood and adult life, through good times and bad always told my brother and me that the most important thing in life is FAMILY, may you and your family have a great journey for many years to come.

We had the best family vacation we have ever had this past week, but it was to short. God I love my family
