Where is Fayth?

Hey Tony----the pleasure was ours. Kathy and I go into Manhattan alot plus I have a monthly account out there but your right my daughter Brianna has hardly been there. Maybe 2-3 times at most. Family is what its all about. Kathy knew what you guys were doing because I was reading this post to her at night. The more you wrote the more I read. When you swooped into town with your family Kathy new the night before I was thinking of coming out there.........but between my guys working, my other job, and all the goings on I try to spend as much time as I can with my family.... This all came down to Brianna. My older Daughter Nicole was out with friends for the day already when I came home.

Kathy was like you just flew in here and now you want to go with me into Manhattan which she wanted to do but she said what about Brianna because the train ride is well over an hour. She'll be bored,,, and it comes to family. So I looked over to Brianna and said "Hey how about we go up top to the Empire state building today.... and also meet some nice people who also have a girl close to your age"

She jumped on that and off to the races we went because the train was leaving within a half an hour from when I got home...... and the rest made for a wonderful experience and some great memories.

This is a great story and thanks for sharing. As for whats in that bag shoot me an email at clncounty@aol.com There's a part of that I left out.

Ok, an update since we got back.

We all missed home. This gave us an opportunity to examine the choice we made to live here.

On this trip:

Fayth saw her first frog.
Got her first mosquito bite EVER.
Had to walk around crawfish on the grass.
Saw lightning bugs.
Breathed HUMIDITY.
Got chigger bites
Used a hotel key that wasn't a card.
Actually sweated like most humans do and got her clothing wet from it.
Realized a swimsuit won't dry in ten minutes (more like two days)
Slept in a fleabag hotel. (only once)
Saw a buffalo, a prairie dog and a woman with a thong and chaps (all in the same vicinity)
Saw a real thunderstorm
And a few other things.

But she was crying homesick about a week and a half before we got home.

She is supposed to go to New York with the City Choir later this year and now she doesn't want to go.

She is a Las Vegan all the way. And so are we.

We are happy where we are.

The city is libertarian/conservative (except for the murdering cops) and it has a wild west atmosphere with little regulation and government interference. It is a melting pot. Most inhabitants are like us. They came from other parts of the country where they felt they didn't fit in and they don't want their relatives and high school buddies all up in their business.

Nobody bothers us here. Family drama and drama in our hometowns are only as close as the END button on the cell phone.

This is home.

We have one out of town account. I was bored and made this little video on the way. I love the open sky. I love the dry air. I love 100 degrees that feels like 88.

For those of you who don't like the music you can see me passing a cop at 2:18 in slow motion going almost 80 in a 50 zone. I didn't hit anybody. "where there is no victim, there is no crime". I LOVE IT. (And I also love the CROWN VIC that seems to immune to tickets!)

At 2:29 I pan to the right. That is where my former business partner, Kevin ran off the road riding my new Suzuki Katana I just bought and hadn't even insured yet (yes, I know the katana is gay and it was probably a blessing in disguise that he destroyed it) :) Kevin hit a mile marker sign that used to be there and broke 20 something bones all down his left side. He was in intensive care for 2 weeks and it took him 3 months to walk again. All at 60 mph. It happened because he was looking at the scenery instead of the road.

After travelling 8,942 miles and criss crossing the country, in spite of how beautiful it all was. This is home. I visited my birthplace, where I was raised and many places I've been along the way. I have no nostalgia for any of them at this point in my life. Life could not be better. My life is perfect right here.

I miss my relatives, but I realized on this trip that the only thing I was missing was their touch. I already kept up good relations with them and we really didn't have much new to talk about that we hadn't already discussed on the phone. Is that weird or what?

Anyway, it was such a beautiful morning I couldn't help but think how happy I was to be home.

It's a boring video, but the music is good and maybe it can provide a break for you to think on how much you love the place you call home.

I thought this was kindof cool. This is the geotrack of our trip. The breaks are areas where there was no phone service.

Great video Tony, I did a trip like that on a motorcycle with friends when I was a kid. I love the vastness and big sky out west, hopefully i will get back out there soon.

Tony. You are in the wrong business. That was a great video buddy.

Nope, that proves she is your daughter...

Sorry to hear about her, glad she is ok. She is very lucky that there was no very serious damage.

Tell her that Jimmy and I said hello.

Where's Fayth now?

faythpool.jpg

Recuperating from NOT listening to her momma and diving into the shallow end of the pool and doing a full concrete face plant.

She has no idea how lucky she is.

I've ordered a DNA test.

I always told my son, You cant be from my loins boy !!...lol

Nick, I don't know if you noticed this but Fayth was scared to death of you. I asked her "what did you think of Nick?" She said:

"He's nice, but I can't get crazy around him because he looks like I should just do what he says and shut up".

I don't know exactly what that means, but that's almost verbatim what she said. FUNNY!

WOW, thank God nothing else happened. Get well Faith!

Just showed the pic's to Emma Grace. She said to tell Fayth she hopes she feels better, that she is sad for her, and tell her "you're not supposed to dive in to the shallow end" Hope that helps

I did the same thing when I was a kid. I think it stunted my growth. I should be 6' 2 " tall.

Seriously though. Tell her the weird guy said he hopes she feels better and DON'T DO THAT AGAIN!!!

I thought she was fine? did she see the chains in the galley..lol, tell fayth I am happy she is feeling better.

More homeschool activities with the homeschool crowd.

Today guess what she's touring?

The guy behind her looks like he can't wait for her to make a "furtive" move so he can zap her with 50,000 volts.

"Don't taze me bro!!"
