House wash-$200.00
Concrete Drive & Walks-$100.00
Total= $ 750.00
Material- $ 60.00
labor - $ 100.00
fuel - $ 10.00
---------------------
$ 580.00 profit For 3hrs = $193.33 per hr after expences.
For everything else...There's Mastercard!

I wouldnt do the house for less than 2000.00 You guys are a bunch of lowball hacks, or hicks, or hillbillys, or hillbilly hacks...LOL

Like DJ says, you need at least 200 and hour. So if it takes all day you would want to get at least 1600.00 why get out of bed or move the truck.

I'm not going to get out of the house for less than what DJ makes. Oh yeah, no mexican laborers around either, that breeds lowball hack. Sorry Carlos....

Image image image image, and always raise your prices even if you cant get work. Keep the prices as high as you possiblty can.

Then mow the lawn for 20 bucks...Special

Is that a bad thing ???

Dj, just bustin your chops like everyone else.

You need to charge more than me, your cost are higher than mine. You buy everything one at a time and pay high prices. I buy bulk and buy at great prices.

You also live in a smaller community and you have to travel a long way. You now have a gas guzzling truck while i'm going hybrid. LOL

I run lean you run wild.

My customers stay longer, yours are one timers. your constantly lookin for people in your business model mine I have had on regular service for 24 years.

I understand your plan and realise what you want. Go for it, its not for me.

I enjoy sleeping while my crews are making me money. I dont want to be on the wand and i will not with my business model.

You guys all talk about running a business>>>>>LOL mean while alls your really doing is working a job.

So DJ, no hard feelings. I once thought you reminded me of myself when i was in college. I was wrong.... keep taking classes and when you graduate you can get that job you were dreaming about as a kid.

You see when i was in 1st grade i told my teacher i was going to grow up and run my own business. I living my dream, good luck with yours.

Man nothing wrong with charging to much and delivering the same fine product i deliver because i have better methods.

I love beating high priced people that dont know how to bid jobs. Its what i do best. Get the highest price you can and deliver the superior service.

Nothing wrong with charging more, nothing....

You would be suprized at my prices I get for one timers....They are higher than yours, why???? because i'm a better saleperson than you are. Dont be offended again DJ i'm better than anyone just ask me.

Larry, Your prices are more in line with mine. If your get 800 for a roof, that's great, sucker born every minute. I couldn't sleep at night charging $800 for a roof that takes an hour to clean, nor could I get anyone to pay me. My 2 pennies.

If your sales skillz was so off the hook you wouldn't have to sale on price!!!!!

Front roof only $475, roll up to roll out 45 minutes to 1 hr. Shoot the whole thing from a 14 foot step ladder.

Whoever wrote it threw that in just to make it look authentic! :D

Holy cow Batman ! You crazy fools dont clean a whole roof ? I never sell a partial job, I can tell you from (my) experience, if there is mold and mildew on one side its on both, maybe naked to the eye but it is there, dont do an injustice to the customer, I always say no when they want a spot clean and then I follow with "Mr customer I value your business too much to do that to you and then I explain" In a year maybe less the mildew you can not see will rear its ugly head and I look to others in the neighborhood like I didnt clean it properly or worse you dont call me back , why not spend the extra small amount and have it done right ? It is probably your biggest investment.

On the other hand you may be thinking I will dress it up for the homeowner because he is going to sell and spot clean, duhhhhh he will tell the new prospective buyer I had (your business name) "professionally" clean my roof , well heck in a year the will be fussing to all there friends about you because you did a piss poor job and they will call someone else and you are out !

keep it honest, keep it simple, be calm and sell your service, dont short sale your integrity and your future

I've had customers ask me to clean just part of their house or Roof and for the exact same reasons that Russ just mentioned, I have refused. Well, not so much refused as convinsed them to do the whole thing. I've had them say that because they never see that side of the house or that it is blocked from view by the neighbors trees and no one can see it they don't think it needs cleaning. I've asked people, When you wash your car do you only wash the drivers side because thats the only side YOU ever see? :confused:
God forbid, but if you ever got skin cancer would you only have the areas that are visible treated and let the rest go untreated because no one could see where it was? I have never done half a roof or half a house yet!

This is great advice, I've never really though of it that way. I bid this guy for the whole roof. $695, worth every bit of that and more. It's going to be a pain in the ass.
