Did a house next door, this guy calls me up and wants it done. Home is also on the market! Good for me. The whole roof doesn't need to be done, but I guess I'll give him both bids. Check out these pics and tell me what you'd bid.

whole house around 850 to 925

is that roof too

I would do it for $100.00 cheaper than Kory...

I wouldnt do the house for less than 2000.00 You guys are a bunch of lowball hacks, or hicks, or hillbillys, or hillbilly hacks...LOL

Like DJ says, you need at least 200 and hour. So if it takes all day you would want to get at least 1600.00 why get out of bed or move the truck.

I'm not going to get out of the house for less than what DJ makes. Oh yeah, no mexican laborers around either, that breeds lowball hack. Sorry Carlos....

Image image image image, and always raise your prices even if you cant get work. Keep the prices as high as you possiblty can.

Then mow the lawn for 20 bucks...Special

$200/hr --every bid should strive for that goal. You have invested in equipment to do the job faster and more efficiently. You should reap the benefits of that.

My Lawn guys are done in 10 minutes w/ 3 guys. Do I mind paying them $40.00 per week? Even though their next ten minute job is next door? Not at all.

It's worth exra money to reduce the dog barking to 10 minutes vs. 1 hr with a hack. It's worth the extra money for at least one guy who speaks english. It's worth the extra money because they listen and do what I tell them.

Do what you have to do to make a living. But eventually taxes, insurance and other overhead will take it's toll and $200 per hr will be barely making it.

I got to start a roof washing trend here in 'the old pueblo'. No mold or algae in this dry heat but I can advertise a dust-wash and buzzard-dropping removal (then again they're mostly all flat). Till then maybe I can get the wash-your-stucco trend going (don't think the adobe will hold up too well though)

Depending on the sqft, $800 for the roof, $450 for the house, And by looking at it $275 for the driveway. Grand total of $1,525. Should be able to finish that in 4-6 hours = $254/hour.

But you have to explain to them that even though they can not see the algae of parts of the roof, that it is still growing there, and if you dont clean it, it WILL continue to grow and be noticable with in the next year and you wont be able to warranty your work because of that.

I would hope to sell the whole roof, but he did say it was on the market.
I would give him the whole roof price and not bring up 1/2 or spot cleaning.
If he brings it up then that's different.
It would be about $800.00.

Ya I'll shoot him a price of 750, easily done in three hrs. Maybe I can convince him to get a gutter cleaning too. BTW this is for the roof, I did his neighbors up the street so now he wants it done.

If the house sells I have it golden with the real estate agent.
Homeowner profits, agent gets commission, I get the job and hopefully more.
