Video of stolen trailer

Scott, there is something missing in that video. A sense of urgency. Get the video from when you left, and watch for a car or other vehicle trailing you. Those guys were in no hurry, almost as if someone was telling them that you weren't around, like they were watching you. Check the video of the hotel when you left and compare it with the video of where ever you went and see if you spot the same vehicle in both. Those losers were a little too relaxed. Someone tipped them off, very possibly a hotel employee.

I agree totally with that Kevin. They were way to relaxed....I'm sure someone was watching out probably even for the whole time they were there. Just waiting for the right moment.

Are there any other video cameras around the building. There might have been someone sitting in the street watching and waiting.
CSI Alabama lol

I went back and watched the video again and it looks like the thief knew about the video surveillance, the driver looks like they tried to keep the plate from being seen. Looks like that was not the first time because of how calm and cool they were!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe a inside job(some one working in view of the trailer) maybe? SORRY SCOTT, hope they get whats coming to them

They were scouting the place I bet. I bet they had someone follow you when you left to keep an eye on you and they jacked it.

Dirty Bastards....let us know when you find them, Nate will help you "talk" to them:D

Thanks guys. Now I have a whole new set of problems. My father in law passed last night. We dont know why. I probably wont be on here in a few days, but ill let you all know if we find something.

I agree with everyone here saying it looks like an inside job.

Did you mention to anyone that you were leaving for a few minutes and to keep an eye on the trailer? If so, That is where I would talk to the police again and ask them nicely to see of other things had been stolen from the hotel in a similar fashion.

They could have a car following you keeping in touch with the guys with radios or cell phones to let them know when you are coming back.

Nothing is safe these days, even storage units that have security cameras are broken into and nothing seen or the cameras do not work all the time or at least at the time of the crime.

I wonder if LoJack makes a box or something secure for trailer applications where you can hide it so it takes a while to find or a while to remove if they know about it?

when it rains it pours!! sorry to here this scott, the lord never gives us more then we can handle, hang in there brother :)

Someone needs to get rid of sorry trash like that!!!! Their's nothin worse than a thief!!!!!!!

Scott sorry to hear about your father in law. I hope things get better.

As for the video it looks like there is more missing than a sense of urgency...how many frames did they cut out of the video before you got it? There are time lapses and it almost looks like they were intitially not turning to take the trailer.... almost like they turned the corner pulled up and saw no hitch lock and $$$$ signs flashed in their eyes. Just my take on it, without seeing the rest of the layout it is hard to say, but the way the guy turned in to start with doesn't leave you with the impression that he knew it would be there and I'd bet he looked at it and considered the "opportunity for a minute off camera before they turned around and took it.

I'm sorry it happened to you regardless though

Prayers and sincere condolances to you and your family Scott D.

As far as locating your trailer I would still advise checking surrounding states. Some thieves are smart enough to drive a few hundred miles to get out of the "hot zone". Had a chainsaw stolen here in Washington state and it made it's way to southern Oregon...over 600 miles...Good luck man
Thomas

I dont know much about security cameras but it seems that could have zoomed in on the front licensed plate if there was one. sorry to hear all that has happened GOD bless you and your family. My prayer are with you
