Vegas Parking Garage Event March 26-28

I guess you have never noticed that when ever there is a disagreement about something, you can ALWAYS be found in the middle of it.
Happens when you get involved in many things. I'm still not sure what your alluding to but if it's what I think it may be here I'm friendly with the above 2. I'm not going to fight anymore people's battles and I think you know what I'm talking about with your org past.

So where do you stand with this event where doing? Do you want to see it fail or do you want to see contractors have many choices to attend events around the country?

None of us here at PWI want to see anyone Fail, personal differences when it comes to people in the industry working and learning together should be put aside.

We all realize you will have many of our friends at the event, for 325 bucks even if they didn't learn anything no one will get hurt.

Information given at the event will be good, some obviously we disagree with.

It ok because most now that we are reaching out to get the correct info know what we are saying is the truth.

John learning is what its all about, this weekend you will learn some stuff most likely. Everyone has different levels they are into in this industry.

I believe that people need more actual hands on training.

Just read your Post allowed... There is a common ground Ron and we all will get there hopefully sooner then later.. But either way will get there... It's going to happened.

No I do not see these groups agreeing on putting others out of work and affecting there families

Yea but thru these groups hopefully there is some positive recognition where we can open some doors. Slim to none but just that slim shot is better then no shot at tall. What is considered a "Success" will be a future big time discussion here at PWI when that time comes. Right now it's more failure IMHO because many of us who give a darn can't connect...at least not yet.

Honestly, I don't care whether it succeeds or fails. I just hope everyone that is paying to attend gets a fair value. I know that there are going to be some things that are presented there that I disagree with, for instance, you need a 4wd to clean parking garages. Really? That is asinine.
You forget John, I am one that knows that there is plenty out there for everyone to succeed, if they work hard enough. I am also the one that has passed on jobs, like 200 cement trucks a week, to other contractors, because I knew they were set up better to do them. I really don't want anyone to fail, but I fear what some might try to do to achieve a competitive advantage. I don't fear the people that know what they are doing, I worry about people that think they know. I also am a bit concerned about people on the 'net and elsewhere that portray themselves as something that they are not.

I am also a bit curious if all the manufacturers that are going to be at this event realize how small it is going to be? I bet if they knew how few people were going to be there they would be a lot less likely to come.

I see manufacture or distributors wanting to know that everyone could attend. The process seems a bit funny

How many people are attending the event John? I know it's already sold out.
Never said it was sold out. We havent collected anything yet because where still setting that part up. Where hoping first off that we can get 1-2 more machines in here and we can get 25-35 range to attend.

You don't need a 4 wheel drive to clean a garage. As for the manufacturers that are coming they know that their machinery is going to be used and there as interested as the attendees are in how well there machines work in an actual work environment.

You gotta give Jim Gamble kudo's for this even if you don't like him.. It was his idea to do a show like that is why he is the Host.

Does seem kindof strange.

Direct competitors going to the expense of bringing equipment to Las Vegas to be at an event with two speakers from another direct competitor.

And put on by a guy who builds his own equipment and returns batteries to Walmart for replacement based on non-commercial use, and another one who is trying to sell what little accounts his "elite" contractor business has brought him.

Maybe Nigel and John can buy enough equipment to make the trip worthwhile. As usual, John, with his big pension ends up paying the bill. Hey John, I'd like to do an event, can you put up $10k? lol.

You must have missed the posts on PWC where Jim went on about how stupid I was because I said 4wd was not necessary, and how he would explain at the round table.

As for Kudo's for the event, as long as he did not misrepresent what was happening, I wish him all success. Those of us that know how hesitant manufacturers are to support full blown conferences find it interesting that they would choose a small closed event like this. But, if they come, good for Jim.

Not True Tony but its your right to try all your might to bring anyone & everyone down. Why thats your goal I guess only you know why. Im @ an excellent industry event now. I support guys that bring positive things to this Industry... I guess thats the difference to many here & you. Hopefully one day you can see the light to support Industry members.

Well I hope you remember your post here because if this show does what we think it will do then maybe you wont take the net so seriously as the end all when it comes to dealing with peoples character.

You forget John, my judgement of Jim has nothing to do with the "net. I have met him in person, and even though I saw some red flags, I maintained a friendship. Then he did some things that were solely intended to promote himself at my expense. That is called betraying a friendship.

Thank You Sir!!!

Whatever it is it spills out all over the net. Since it looks like neither one of you will take the higher road it's always 1 step forward and 2 steps back when it comes to you two and that is unfortunate. So unfortunate that when something nice is planned out such as this Vegas event this negativity spills right into this causing others to jump on the bandwagon of knocking good things in this industry down.

Just read Tony's post #113 here. You know what's going on Scott and it's your right to do nothing and just watch this... Thats the "Unfortunate" part that I'm referring to in my paragraph above.
