Up Selling vs Cross Selling

Ron, Thanks for the compiments and also I respect your thoughts alot. Looking back over the last 10+ years, I have been jaded by wasted hours and hours at boring, pointless "sales" classes and seminars by guys who have no practial experience. That is where I was coming from and of course, there was almost always something to take away from whatever class/course it was.

You are 100% correct, there are many good teachers out there who will get good people to come and speak to compliment the text book learning.

Your video reply made me think of Howard Stern talking about teaching a communications course, becoming a professor (that was before he announced his $400 million contract). That would be a hell of a learning experience that you could not put a price on.

Thanks for the post, the forum and Merry Christmas!

This is DJ guy Chuck, great info Chuck provides. Not sold on all the things but the basics he has down.

Bob Horner!!! Love that guy. I grew up in Atlanta during the time of Bob Horner, Dale Murphy, Pasquel Perez.....good memories. I was actually in a Southern Bell commercial when I was about a kid with Bruce Benedict, Bob Horner and a catcher named named Alex Treveno. Filmed when the Padres were in town and I got to meet Tony Gwynn when he weighed about 175.

Bob Horner just one of Brocks Prodigy's throughout his carreer. Crazy his students are the likes of Reggie and Barry bonds. Its not a joke he was possibly the greatest Hitting instructor of all time. People will argue the fact but I know first hand why he was great. He studied the Science intensively, he also changed as the pitching changed in college and pro ball.

I learned a Great deal about life from this Man and would say he was one of the biggest influences in My life. Him and a 5th grade teacher and wrestling coach. Of Course My father was my number one reason and my mother number two. Without them I would not have met the great people and been surrounded by the success, I believe if you surround youself with great people you will be great.

Sales is my life, some think I own a pressure washing business?

A lot of good stuff in iTunes also. Free on iPhones and iPads. Entire lectures from Harvard business school etc.

Great info in your videos Ron, Thanks!

And let me me clarify one thing...I say that classes at a community college are a waste of time because if the professors teaching the course were good sales people they would be out making big bucks selling something as opposed to reading out of a text book. Go buy a book written by someone who has real world experience, that is more valueable in my opinion.

Careful with that one, two of my marketing professors hit the 10 million dollar mark in their sales/marketing careers. They both retired to teach at their alumni and still have a wealth of cutting edge knowledge.

I look every year at the local college and they have nothing on selling or sales classes or guest speakers on selling.

Maybe just the larger cities.

Run the search for entrapenuer classes , it might not be tittled sales
