Jen,
My wife saw your picture and said a guy needs to marry a wife that will do what it takes. You go girl!
She worked many a late night and has done a lot of gross stuff that she got a degree so she would not have to do it for a living. Even at my roundtable, if you look in the pictures, you will see her helping out at the grill.

Thank you Scott and Scotts wife :) !!!
Even though most would think I'm a girly-girl (and I am to a certain degree) I love to work outside and always have! Its the country girl in me.

And this is our family business, operated by both of us- so if Eric needs my help on a job I'm there no matter what!

....I will just bring myself a tennis ball next time like Eric told me to do (but I didnt listen :p )...

I think Eric is the girly girl ......Hahaha! Nice boots Jen :) . Whens the skiing trip? :D

I did a wide variety of work this week. Sometimes I think that the stuff I do is crazy, because of how varied it can be.
Monday, I cleaned park restrooms and detailed a car interior.
Tuesday, more park restrooms, Maintained some landscape for a pressure washing customer because the weeds were overgrown, and they needed it done now, I am easier to call and get to do something than their landscaper. I also washed about 100 vehicles.
Wednesday, I washed the stands of a stadium where they hold spring training..
THursday, I mounted repaired a bus bench that had been mounted to a wall and had pulled away.
Friday, I cleaned the concourse of the same stadium, and did all the exterior walks.

These are all the jobs I did myself. I also had other people out working as well. So, what did you do?

I heard you cleaned the parking lot at the post office too?

Lets see, Mon stuck in the snow in MO.
Tues, stuck flying kid out of airport for test he couldnt miss.
Wed. Spent sleeping
Thurs. Still Sleeping
Friday. watch some tv and stay off line.

Sun . well spend time with the kids like always.

This week
Mon. prepare for the largest contract agreement of my life.
Tue. Give a smaller national contract a presentation. (Renew)

Wed. celabrate the signing of both contracts and take office somewhere special.
Thurs. Finalize all my other travel plans for 2009
Fri. rest

Cry me a river all the way to the bank.

Last week was mostly spend with Angela and her family. Her grandmother passed away Monday @ 7:45pm.Between being there for her and her family, visitation and the funeral my work week took the back seat.
I did go to 1 job Friday morning only to pull up and find another company cleaning.Seems management decided hiring a hack whom I know works at about 1/2 my price was a smart move. They felt no need to provide 30 days written notice or even give the courtesy of a phone call. When I called the manager she said it's a "bidness decision, not personal" to save money.Their corporate office got an email over her attitude and addressed the failure to honor the service agreements provision of 30 days written notice.
More power to them, when they call me back the price goes up.
Business is in the toilet right now and my patience is thin.

Nope, not crying. We have been down the past few months for the same reason nearly everyone is down. Sometimes I look back at the end of the week and am amazed at the different hats I wear.

Scott, I am sorry for your and Angelas loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks for the prayer Scott.
The last couple of weeks have been tiring the 70 mile rounnd trip drive everyday on top of work made for long days.
Mema was 91 and had battled alzhiemers for the last 8yrs.Her health took a drastic down turn about the 3 weeks ago with a stroke and fluid in her lungs. She went 9 days before her death without food or water.
Hospice had been involved for the last year. They were awesome in the care they provided for her and the family.Mema had DNR and the hospice folks made sure she was comfortable unil the very end.
I told Angela dying from old age isn't such a bad thing and she left this world in her house,in her own bed with family at her side.

Things will look up, Scott. You guys are in our prayers.

I lost 17 (dry clean) customers when my father died in 2000. I was only gone a week and I had Shelly cover the route, but they quit because they had "problems" and when they called me the got an email directing them to call Shelly. I guess calling that extra seven digits was just too much for them.

I'm glad they're gone.

Lets See... Last Week .. Monday - 5 fire extinguisher accounts in the morning, 2 in the afternoon then 2 hood cleanings that night, Tuesday--Hood cleaning at night, Wed --- 6 fire inspections in the morning, new exhaust fan motorchanged in the afternoon, then a cleaning in McComb that night..Thurs---cleaned in Grenada all day and most of the night, Friday ---- cleaned the VA, Sat --Cleaned the VA . Now I have a Job at 10 am this morning and the heading out of town tonight.. God has been real good to me , giving me all this work..

Lets see, Ive done 1 job by myself this week. My crew is on day 8 of a 12 day work binge. This ones gonna be expensive, I do like siting around eating bon-bons and watching soap operas all day though.

For next week I have one small job for Monday but Tuesday I have a large house wash and a huge driveway to clean. Large 1/2 circle connected to a large straight driveway going to the garage from the street.

The concrete is good quality but is black, not sure if it is the tannin stains from the Oak tree leaves or if it is just the iron from the well system sprinklers that are all over the property.

I did not take pictures when I looked at the property the other day but will when I am there on Tuesday.

Having a support base helps keep a Business going. My wife gets dirty with the best.. Here are some pics from a gig we had that had a deadline. It was a scorcher day and the next it was raining. We even got the Daughter in on the fun. 265,000 sqft of new asphalt with lime and mud caked on needing cleaned before GC handed keys over to Lowes.

And yes, a tennis ball is great.

That is great having the family help out with the jobs.

Looks like the asphalt contractor did a good job with that parking lot, good looking asphalt and good stripes.

I am amazed that they would want it washed, here most shopping centers take it without a wash most of the time, maybe trying to save some money.
