Surfactant and Detergent?

I got the Jrod for my chemical pump should i get one for my pressure cleaner? What is the difference between the jrod vs my regular tips that came with pressure cleaner?

Also if im using a DS injector with straight SH does anyone know the mix ratio that SH will come out of the gun. I have a 13hp 4000psi 4gpm?

You have to test that. There are variables..length of hose, gun , obstructions. I can tell you that downstreaming through a 4 gpm machine is stronger than downstreaming through my 10 gpm machine. The injector draws the same amount of soap whether you are using 10 gpm or 4 gpm so the mix will be stronger with lower gpm machines. That also depends on orifice size too though. I would test in a 5 gallon bucket.

The only difference would be the jrod has the tips connected and that you can unscrew and add a different tip as you please. The regular tips that come with machines are all set up to pressure wash at maximum psi and gpm. Seeing that you have a 4/4k machine if you got a jrod and put in #4 orifices you would still be washing with 4k of pressure. Most get larger orifices in their jrod to wash at lower pressures. I have the same machine and a have mine set up to soft wash.

For those who do not rinse off roofs I have a question for you? When it finally rains and it rinses off the roof does the SH or salt that runs off kill the plants?

1) I would never use 100% SH on a roof. The most we use on tile roofs is 50/50 and roof snot.
2) the amount of soap we use is dependent on the if there are gutters or not, and if there are no gutters and plants directly under the drip line then we use way less soap to sometimes none. This helps to prevent the mix from "sticking" to the plants.
3) you can use pretty much any house/detergent soap you want. Some will perform better than others. I personally never use them because they are always changing the formula in them which can sometimes cause our i or quality of cleaning to be off. I have been using Roof Snot for years and and love it. I have tried every house/dish soap out there but just never really liked any. Plus using Roof Snot, if you are doing a lot of roofs, is going to be cheaper for you in the end versus store bought products. IMO
4) I have never rinsed a roof. Some do, sone don't. You'll find many different opinions on that.

Hope this helps. You will find many different opinions on this subject...best thing is to try some different ones and see which you like and works best for you.

Roof Snot

Roof Snot is great, I have not tried the new Dragon Grip from Paul but I have heard it is good.

Also not sure what this is on the concrete but I tried cleaning it with a surface cleaner, straight SH, degreaser and when I used the yellow nozzle tip it would chip up concrete

Any recommendations

That looks like rust stains(could be mulch stains or something else). Rust stains don't come out with pressure washing. That is a separate issue. A stain is just that, a stain and is embedded down below the surface. That costs time and money to remove. Pressure washing removes(or should) algae, mold, mildew and dirt. Anything else is separate. Mineral stains, mulch stains, rust stains, oil stains. All separate. That should be relayed to the customer ahead of time.
