Steam

Blown Away

New member
Wiz,
Having problems with my burner. Just starting a job this morning and turned on the burner and after a couple of minutes steam started coming out of the wand. I had my x-jet nozzle on and water and steam was coming out of the nozzle and steam was coming out of the syphon attachment ( I did not have the tube hooked on at that time). Turned off the burner ran it to cold water, shut down, replaced burner nozzle (with the assumption that it was getting too much fuel) and started again and stumbled upon the problem over again. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sounds like to me, that you have been using an upstream injector and have a scaled-up coil. Check your back pressure with out hoses.I'll bet it's over 1500 psi. If it is, de-scale and see if that dosn't solve the problem.

Where is the X-Jet installed?
Sounds like low water flow or burner staying on when the trigger gun is off.
Is your Pressure low or pulsating in your hose?
If so Packings Valves or Air Leaks can cause this. also plugged coils can cause this. Plugged inlet filters Diesel Loaded Coils. Gasoline in the Diesel tank ect

Well What did you find?
Did you fix it?
