Some rigs I forgot I owned

There are obviously no company logo's on those trucks. That tells me he just found a parking lot for a staged photo. He may have even photo shopped them in.

Lol, yeah they just happened to be on the property I allegedly don't own. Because the Pwna can't find the deed.

Double unit? Like two guns? Ron, do you use 1 man and 1 truck? I remember when I was a cable guy, some guys would park their truck and ride together. Then split the route. Funny thing is Two guys together could never do as much as two guys in separate trucks and routes. They could get the jobs done faster, but getting to twice as many stops in one vehicle was the problem.

Yes sir, your correct. Many here will argue with you an I

i was thinking two guns might be good if you are training or just not confident in your helper, but now that I think about it, training would be much quicker with one gun and a trainer there watching the entire time.

What was the cost of two individual single units back then Ron??????

With todays high flow units dual driven single rigs are a rare breed.

It all depends on your cleaning focus too. Industrial cleaning maybe best suited for dual, but todays large "small gas engines" or if you have the budget.... diesels, you can power 11gpm , and have one big boiler. Two man at 5.5 gpm

If you dont need two hot just one hot and a compact gear driven cold water unit to flush or tie into each other to up the volume and have warm water at high gpm.

Then when you begin to realize what a difficult/expensive task it is in high gpm recovery you look at cutting back gpm.

A wonderful multifunction unit would be a single axel trailer with the 200 gallon tank and a big boy pw unit one driver with ....10 to 11 gpm......a fair amount of electrical power say 4500 watts or you could drop some watts and install a blower and mechanical pumpout. Similar to the video you did of Jerry displaying a multifunction trailer

My question has to do with the title of this thread...how do you forget you own something?

27 years I forgot how many trucks I really had. Had two enclosed units , Greg r bought a used unit I gave to my sister. Onan powered 24 horses , I'll bet it's still running. That reminds me Greg likely saw my first reclaim because she has it too. Also enclosed trailers.

Think about it, you really remember every car you ever owned? How about all your girls Doug

I'm sure for the type of cleaning you provide it might make sense. My guys average ticket is 175 buck. They spend less that 50 minutes and average 6 stops a night.

Lean and clean

What is the average square foot per location?

When you say "ticket 175 buck" what do you mean?

With that many stops per night, the more compact the better, Manny Pacquiao style

I'm still waffling on the flatbed issue Ron. We primarily use the flatbeds, but try to to keep the trailers ready for backup.

Chris likes it a lot better now that he can just jump in the truck and go with the flatbed.

I'm a nutcase when it comes to backup. I've even got a hitch on the crown vic, just in case I ever need to pull a trailer with it in an emergency. It's been on there for over a year and I've never used it. But it's there in case we need it.

Why didn't you go with flatbeds or pickup bed skids for California?

Look what Jerry can fit in a pickup bed. It would be pretty easy to put belt drive 20hp and a 200 gallon tank in there if you didn't need the reclaim.

Here is what Chris uses. (note the pristine body of the truck and the $4000 dollar wrap that is required in order to impress clients and get commercial work. lol)

Because we have no working units, two demo units. They run about 45 minutes a week maybe. Need high miles vehicles low fuel consumption. When and if lets just say I build a unit it will be a van in Cali , multiple reasons this will be the choice. Regulations , competion and security.

We impress then by explaining our trucks look like they work because of our client list. Shinny trucks to commercial customers translate to dollars out of there pocket.
