Some Photos & Video from this Weekend

We have been working non-stop since Friday night, here are some photos and video of what we have done...

6 Fuel Stations
15 Townhouses w/ Mud Nests
103 Dock Doors
45 Semi Trailers
7000 Sq Ft of Gum covered concrete.

We have 4 fuel stations left and 7000 more sq ft of concrete...

This is our new chem tank by the way - it has a shur flo pump and 80 of hose. Makes applying the degreaser at the fuel stations really nice and easy.

Nice !
BTW Nicole, IF you are using Sodium Hydroxide as a degreaser, do NOT get a shurflo or any other pump using VITON.
EDPM has much better resistance against Sodium Hydroxide.
The Shurflo's and Flojets are availiable with EDPM or Viton

It's fast and easy.

Mix your chemical stronger and roll with it. One less hose to worry with.

Yeah, with 50 percent Hydroxide, you CAN downstream, but the KEC guys would laught at that :D

That is understandable but if you have to do alot of concrete it will slow you down way too much.

NOTHING against Downstreaming Ash, but with a dedicated chem pump, much stronger mixtures can be acheived.

The max chem/water ratio of a downstream injector is about 20 to 30 percent, and IF you get that, your big oversize self is doing good :D
Hose losses come into play.

A Chem Pump give what you put into it OUT.

My chem pumps are 15 GPM, more is possible, I just loaf them.

Do you KNOW of any pressure washer capable of 15 GPM flow ?

So, EVEN if ya got a 8 GPM Machine, thats all ya get, at a weak dilution.

Now, IMAGINE 15 plus GPM at a higher percentage.

Be GLAD I stick to roof cleaning :)

Once, I helped a concrete cleaning buddy by spraying chemicals over a large area for him.

He wanted to Marry Me :(

IF you guys are able to spray chemicals to clean concrete with, FORGET the puny shurflo's and Delevans.

A REAL chemical pump with some FLOW will "set you free"

Y not down stream your chem on at the gas stations ???

Sometimes concrete stains are no match for ds'ing and putting a stronger mix on is the only way. I do alot of ds'ing but sometimes its just not cutting it so I pull the mix right out of my tank and spray it down straight with my chem line. That usually does the trick. I've even had to do it many times on house washes... I think Nichole is probably using that for just the real heavy spots that ds'ing wont work on.

Good Job on getting all that done guys! That sure sounded like alot to do in a few days!

This was DSed with our standard maintenance mix and it was a first time cleaning. No excesive dwell invovled.

we downstream ours too, I would share the mix online but I am afraid someone would try it that didnt know how to handle it
THAT is "one nice thing" about Sodium Hydroxide :D
You CAN make up a "witches brew" and overcome the limitations of downstreaming.
I don't clean concrete, but lets say you need a final mix of 30 percent Hydroxide to rock and roll ?

You simply make the mix STRONGER by adding beads, Some TSP or Metasilicate, Potassium Hydroxide etc, etc, etc
to make up for things.

I have had some discussions about super powerful mixes with folks here

We wouldn;t DARE publish em either

Russ is right, you best not be 1/2 stepping with chemicals.

Still, FLOW on a downstream is still no match for a 15 to 25 GPM Chemical pump.

It may be adequate ...... for now ..... but there might be someone who will change all that :(

I have told some here of the MONSTER Cleaning rigs I have seen here in Florida.

4 Hot Water machines on each one, 4 Hose reels, and 4 Honcho's attacking concrete.

Many are out of Miami, Florida.

Too busy out cutting you guys throats, they never set foot on these boards ;)

THOSE Boyz from Miami don't play, cheap labor and BIG machines, salespeople out on the road.

IF I were cleaning concrete, and I don't, and chemicals are useful and economically feasable, time IMHO for BIG Chemical Pumps with BIG hoses.

Especially on a HOT day, less evaporation, faster, better, more uniform coverage.

I HAVE some idea's .....

Maybe they would help you guys clean faster ?

I had tested my DS, this from another board.........

Well, I finally decided to do a bucket test.
Here is how it went.
Pump > Injector > 200 feet hose = 18:1
Pump > 100 feet hose > injector > 100 feet hose = 18:1
Pump > Injector > 100 feet hose = 18:1

I was really suprised that no matter where I placed the injector I got the same results. Odd huh?

Scott, this is one of the same restaurants that starts with a "Z". They said there is an old guy that cleans it every 3 months. lol
