I would Say that its all good talk, but you still do not know why these numbers Exist with good Sales people. My question for you is how do you know personally from experience why the stats are this way?

I have no quota number on who I close an do not. Mainly because I will not close often because I do not want the business.

Missing in your Presentation is not having people in your pipeline you do not want.

Like a Heart Surgeon who has successful stats versus one that has poor stats. Your first answer is I want the guy who has no failure, RIGHT!!! LOL

What if that Surgeon or sales person isn't taking risky Patients or customers? What if he is working on only people he knows won't die? WOW THE NUMBERS ARE RIGHt but the Choice you make based off stats are incorrect. The guy with Failure is actually the more gifted surgeon. He takes on challenges & risk.

My sales Processes work , my time tracking is spent more wisely. I learned Long ago a program that works doesn't need stats, accountability is in the process. Often if we are not Closing the Market has changed. Watching the market on Whom we are selling to will control the stats. This is way above your head but Ill give you example of and easy one.

If the economy is Poor, things like cheap entertainment BOOMS...KIDS Places, movie theaters, Fast food Places & Even PET STORES.

Trends are Way over your Selling ability!! But Ill List a FEW because you do not know about them. Medical budgets are up! School Budgets for private is UP! Both of these are UP & likely will stay up through the Next elections.

Real Sales TEAMS & professionals Follow the Economy & Demand.

Be carful!! Neglect the Sector thats Not buying because you chase Trends & economy I will take that business from you when the Economy Comes Back because I stay PLUGED IN!!!

When I mean Plugged in even when I know the Budgets not there today I do not ignore these Clients. This is what real sales people do, the evaluation of the Prospect matters.

Not to mention first step is to build a pipe to bring prospects to you.

FYI do not hire a sales professional that cannot debate or explain reasons why the things that come from his mouth when questioned. This is a tell tail sign it's scripted. Following a play book on sales. This works to a certain segment of buyers. This is why the reports and stats are the way they are.

Corp sales teams don't look for 100% success , no one should. That's fantasy land , real expectation on targets closing based on your needs to close.

Keep also in mind we have to facilitate the sales. Imagine if you closed 80% could you actually keep the work? There's more to marketing than a sales process.

I can teach a monkey how to sell, can the monkey know who to sell.

Everyone I teach to sell turns away business. Reasons they are not ready for the customers needs or they are not a customer they want.

If you find a good sales coach they will embrace these traits. Normally someone who actually owns a business does because they normally have the experience.


Sales programs can come in many forms. Many styles will just get you different results. The results are not always to close. If you date a women and the honey moon period hits to soon often the relationship will likely end just as fast. Keep in mind my program (life) was not spent dating client that didn't matter. This is key because you don't have time to waste.

For me, it appears that DJ is of a bottom feeder mentality. He is going after the guy that has no clue, and needs someone to rah rah him through to a sale.
Of course, if he had the guts, he would answer Ron's questions. If he did that, maybe more people would have confidence in his actual abilities. As for me, I think he is clueless, and his inexperience shows through quite well.

Al DJ stated Scott can't sell in a post months back. I've helped Dj , defended him to each and every Freind. Saw some of me in the kid. Now he's a grown man, I thought he was loosing the kid mentality. He only proves me wrong with each post.

I sent Dj more business than anyone here over the years. I thought he was teaching some good fundamental sales. I was wrong, he has not learned much other than to repeat a few coaches and books he has read. Sales is all about the fundamentals, but at some point you grow. Not maturity but growth from life experience. All of us see he's bull shitting. He doesn't know why the stats or really why a buyer often can't buy. He's talking about selling over the holidays and don't take no for and answer.

My clients buy when they buy. Most tell me the dates , I often never have to ask because if for there reasons it moves they inform me. This tells me Dj doesn't have clients. You don't sell clients. 8 years no clients other than pressure washers he wants to train.

Should we talk about how little he knows about referrals & relation building?
