Tom I have found that TSP and sodium hypochlorite is the way to go as well, there is as you said no reason for anything else to be added, we have tried all different ways and none works better all the way around. It is simple to mix and easy to use and eliminates rinsing, bleach ratio can be cut way down which is a plus as well for me and the customer.

TSP works by raising the PH of the Bleach Solution.
There are two components of SHC we need be concerned with, Hyperchlorus Acid, and the Hypochlorite Ion.
The Hyperchlorite Ion is what does the cleaning, and the Hyperchlorus Acid does the Killing.
As PH is increased, by the addition of TSP, Soduim Hydroxide, or Sodium Metasilicate, the cleaning power is increased, but at the "expense" of the killing power.

At PH 13, over 90 percent of the roof cleaning mix is in the form of the Hyperchlorite Ion, leaving only 10 percent of the Hyperchlorus Acid left to kill the spores.

In a swimming pool situation, where killing germs is the primary motivation, we add ACID to lower the PH, and increase the killing power of the Chlorine.
We shoot for a PH from 7.0 to 7.2 in our Pools.

Excess TSP is good to avoid, if longevity of the roof cleaning is sought.

TSP is a very effective cleaner and additive, as long as we don't go too far, and add more then is necessary.

This is easy to do, unintentionally, by having excess, left over TSP that did not dissolve in our tanks :eek:

Every one who uses TSP in their tanks has a different way to combat this.

The ways we have dealt with this is to not add any additional TSP every 2 weeks or so.
This excess TSP tank gets HOT water filled and mixed.

Then, we periodically FLUSH our tanks completely OUT from time to time, and start fresh.

There is more then one way to do it, this is how we use TSP.

Kory, I have almost 2,500 posts here on PWI, many LONG, technical ones.

Yes, I HAVE dropped a link or two, we all have.

But we need to have RULES, before every post here on PWI becomes a Link Drop, and Google penalizes us ALL as a "Spam Site"

Suggestion - WHY not allow promotional threads, then have the person MAKING the promotional threads ask the Moderators to CLOSE them when finished ??

THIS will allow promotional threads, w/o having to worry a competitor will "get into them"

OR, do away with the "who starts a thread OWNS it" Rule :)

I THINK this rule was started to prevent arguments, and was started with good intentions. :)

God.. I would LIKE to answer you, but almost every cotton picking thing I say or do is "under scrutiny" sometimes :(
At the RISK of "being banned" for "hijacking someones thread", it is working great!

BUT, we are working on a NEW roof cleaning chemical additive/thickener, AND also a SHC Booster that will increase the strength of the roof cleaning solution

We are on the VERGE of REAL breakthroughs in SHC technology, that will effect EVERY cleaner that uses it, roof cleaner OR Pressure Washer !

IMHO, soon BOTH the Apple Sauce And Apple Cider will be obsolete.

IMAGINE, being able to use LESS SHC, and still clean just as well ?

IMAGINE being able to increase your Chemical strength, at will ?

IMAGINE being able to THICKEN your mix to cling on a vertical roof surface, W/O weakening it ??

As long as the thread stays on topic and stays educational, nobody has issues. The problem is you guys dont play well together.

Nobody on these boards cares if you all hate each other, and we REALLY dont want to hear about it anymore.

Post the pictures. Keep them educational and about roof cleaning. If someone disagrees with you, keep it professional. I disagree about NEEDING TSP, but me and TOM are not at each others throats.

I feel it is in the best intrest of all involved that we leave it as is, this way there is no doubt what happened.

I am sorry for all the negative stuff in the post but this is why we had to ban Chris, he just cant control himself, I tried and tried to help but to no avail.

Tom, if you want to restart your thread repost it and I will move this and all the negativity out of the public eye. If you dont care if it is there I dont either.

I have been coming to these boards for many many years. Have seen it all...

From day 1, I have been defending myself from Chris Tucker. This has led me down a path with forums where when I log on, I'm looking over my back and have my hands raised. This has prevented me from many benefits of forums, half of you don't know me or have never talked with me but you have formed an opinion based upon my war with Tucker and his spam networks.

I don't think a person here can say they have walked in my shoe's.

Beth, do you think I choose to do this every time I log into a forum?

I battle years upon years of forum spam from prior TGS mod Tucker. You knew exactly what he is/was and his history, how it would EFFECT ME so I'm not feeling it Beth.

You think I'm acting unprofessional years later after EVERY SINGLE board he is a part of has banned him? No Beth I get it, and that is why we are all here. I didn't lay over and play dead, I have been defending myself for years and I feel I did a very good job.

Had I been a good lil sheep and fell in and not learned than I guess we all wouldn't be here and we still would have 4-5 pages of spam originating from your board.

But I guess it made me stronger, I learned the skills I needed to fight a fight I NEVER wanted but was inevitable if I were to continue working in this field.

What would you do?

I made mistakes but I feel I fought for what was good. You absolutely can't say my opinion is alone.

All I ever wanted was the same chance anyone else here has, but from day 1 my knuckles have been bloody and I have had to come on with my game face on to fight Tuckers herd (LOL that's what we call you). I can understand why some of you form opinions that you may have because all you have seen from me is me on the defensive/offensive in my war with him.

Forums present many perceptions and I'm just as much at fault passing judgment quickly. Russ after speaking on the phone with you it helped me tremendously to hear your words. Thank you, if there is anything I can do to help with the "clean up" etc I'm game.

The folks that have taken the time to get to know me I am very thankful for. I owe you a lot, I have made many good friends that have stayed by my side through this and for that I'm very thankful.

And to those that caught a stray bullet or friendly fire I apologize....my mind is always grinding when on these forums. I was constantly under attack from many directions but I held my ground at all costs and fought for what I felt was right.

I would like to say I'm sorry to all that this causes probs for but then apart of me screams "they all knew exactly what to expect from CT when they let him post"....I hate this crap also..

I hate this and it is a side of me I have been forced to push. I feel it is over now, it is 09, and a lot of opportunity out there.

Again, thank you to all the people that didn't write me off and supported me, I love you and I know EXACTLY who my friends are.

My message was not directed specifically at you. All you did was start a thread. Don't worry, I can read...and I can follow a thread... ;) All the forums (TGS included) have had problems with Chris in the past. All of us have tried giving him (and others as well) a second chance because hey, we are good people and want to see everyone succeed and prosper.

Stop by TGS sometime...it's not spam central.

p.s. I think I can speak safely for admins and mods on many BBS's when I say, we don't see every thread in every forum and it is up to the members to learn where the Report Post button is and to use it so staff is alerted to a problem. It helps. It really, really helps.

Thanks, letting the cobwebs clear from my head (LOL may take some time I have a LOT) I really appreciate everyone's kind words and support, thank you.

:eek: still haven't switched over computers for the pics...I will do that today.
In fact, I still haven't set up the network for these puters and I have everything I need...One if these day's I will get organized.
