It is quite easy to get threads like these to show up in non competitive roof cleaning markets, especially when you add weird keyword search strings like zip codes.
This thread is nowhere to be found in the roof cleaning tampa search.
Aiming at seldom searched keyword stings is fine, if you have nothing better to do.
But most people searching for roof cleaning are not going to search like that.
Very few are going to search for roof cleaning tampa 33647, they are going to search for roof cleaning tampa.
If you are not on page one for that search, you are blowing smoke up your azz, or allowing someone to do it for you.
Blogging on this forum, or on ANY forum, is no better then the same information contained in a thread, as long as that thread is relevant to what you posted about.
In Fact, it is stupid to blog on these forums, IF Seo is desired. Here is why.
You Blog on these forums, and only YOUR Blog Post is relevant, and must stand alone to the scrutiny of Google.
BUT, post the same chit you would blog about, in a thread RELEVANT to what you are trying to gain SEO for, and you have the additional help of all the relevant posts in the thread to help you.

Ok Marcus, you are aiming at roof cleaning in houston texas, Google looks for RELEVANCE. Relevance meaning that this thread is mainly about roof cleaning in houston texas. But I clean roofs in tampa, and just dropped a link here to prove to Google that cleaning roofs in tampa is what I do.
But then our friend Art The Siding Guy cleans roofs in long island new york, and larry picks his nose in pinellas county florida.
But wait, there's more !!!!!!!!
Rodney barbeques ribs in memphis tennessee, and mike sullivan uses vinegar on his BBQ Pork, and cleans windows with it too.
Then, we have people putting every zip code and town in this thread Marcus that is TOTALLY UNRELATED and therefore not RELEVANT for roof cleaning in houston texas.

I can understand the nice people posting here, trying to get some free SEO, and some work for their families. Every post on these forums is a backlink for their websites.
However, their time would be much better spent making separate promotional threads, like this.
