Question for the new guys

No this is the reason you will get the jobs you go after, you do qualify by phone I bet?

Someone selling the quality service you sell has to show up to explain and put the customer at ease they are choosing the right man.

Over the phone people are looking for price and quality.

People who want peace of mind about someone being at there home want to meet you. Plus your wood projects are restoration. Not a simple house wash...

My advertising weeds out alot of the price shoppers I'm sure but yes we do feel them out a abit before making an appointment. Even if they have an unrealistic price in their head I'll make an attempt to educate them and break through that (in person if it has potential). I always estimate a housewash on site too though. I know most consumers have it in their head that the service from contractor to contractor is the same and it's all about price. Its my job is to show them it's not.

Come to think of it I don't know what the hell I'm doing here...

I don't even sell pressure washing :thumbup2:

I qualify the customer, find out what they are looking for, give them a figure (example - Mr Customer that would normally run 325 to 375 based on what you are telling me, when would you like it done?) I dont give them an option, if they say they would like to get it done soon I will say how is xxxday?

99 out of 100 then give me an address and I get it done. Most are just wanting to know a price and that you are confident and know what you are doing.

Simple!

Me too except I narrow their choices. Would Wed or Thursday be better? They'll pick one or tell you when. Go for the close.

Remember I was in sales all my life and I trained new sales people as well, I am the "Script Keeper"

Wow, that sounds eerily familiar.
Are you my alter ego or my separated conjoined twin?
:joyful:

Only in the south could you be your own uncle.

I hear banjos....

RUN!!!!!!

if you really knew me you would know not to say that :sarcastic:

Bring the checkbook, I will meet you at Hooters and sing to you in Public for enough $$$$$ then as I finish I will say "this song brought to you by PROKLEEN POWER WASH where your image is our business" :bow-down:

If you'll wear the little Hooters shorts and shirt I'll go to the bank and get some money (all one dollar bills), but you have to say "brought to you by Gulf Coast Pressure Washing"

Nothing like the wide eyed look of Ned Beatty. Kind of let's you know that is a situation that could have a negative impact on your psyche.

That movie changed Ned's life in many, many ways. hahahahaha

I think if Russ showed up in a Hooters outfit and started singing this would be the reaction of the patrons.
:eek:uttahere:

I'm not able to do schedule a job like that (nor do I want to at that rate).... we stay booked out a solid 2 months deep with at least 3 crews every season. Housewashing allows for a little more flexibility but most jump on a waiting list of a few weeks minimum.

That was just an example of a close instead of a date like the 23rd or 24th. We did only run about 2 weeks at the most though at anytime this past summer. We have repeats we will work in if they need it ASAP especially if it's in an area we are already scheduled in. But that's house washes 2-3 hour jobs not deck refinish which I know are much larger jobs.
