Chris lets back up a minute here please, first I am not fighting or putting down PWNA, those days are past, it might sound that way but trust me it is not so.
You Jon, probably don't need to take one because you already know all the answers
Now your quote above I shall assume was more a remark then snapping back at me. I never claimed to know it all, I doubt there is such a person in this business that does, I mean truly does. Chris I am still a newbie by some standards, some say it takes 5 years in the business to become a seasoned contrator.
As for understanding enviromental issues they change so often and fast I doubt even the government knows what they are anymore!
Let's cover what I offer, I'm honest,(don't make promises I can do something when I know it canot be done) I'm prompt, my prices are fair and I do quality work, sure there's more but those are important issues.
This national registery, is it for members only as I believe or for all contractors regardless of being a PWNA member or not?
One thing I noticed in the pass when I was a member that bothered me was when I introduce myself and mentioned I was a member of PWNA, saying it is a national org. of pressure washers it did not faze the prospective customer, not one asked what is that so I would hope the PWNA would consider some sort of national promotional program in trade magazines.
Example of trade magazines that might be of interest, restaurant orgs. automotive dealer orgs. the fast food industry org. truck orgs. and many many more, each has its own trade magazine and each one could increase the PWNA name.
Sure not every member reads it all, but if it is large enough, simple yet self explaining it gets seen. I know it is costly to run ads but there is no better way to get the PWNA seen then national exposure in trade magazines. Even trade shows, yes I am serious, a booth at those shows would go a long ways and say the members staff the booth yet the PWNA pays for it, good idea or not good idea? Now not about to bring up who pays for the motel room and food, could be split 50/50 perhaps?
