Pressure washer hack from next town over FAILS to clean the Hampton Inn exterior

Bob this would be a great opportunity to get in touch with their regional manager and do some education. Not being negative but explaining the proper way to clean these buildings. You just might be able to grab some work out of it, or at least let them know that this is not the work of Professionals in our Industry.

I agree Guy. When this happens it give all of us a bad name. The next time they are more inclined to call a painter.

Chances are they might not even want corporate to find out and make up excuses later on about paint failing or something like that.

Bridges would probably be burned if you went straight to corporate but it also might give you the opportunity to educate them on the right way to clean the building as the local management dropped the ball and hired someone that did not know what they were doing but I am also guessing that management in hotels often changes like it does down here.

Good Point Chris, but more times than not Corporate or Regional Managers make the call on cleaning these buildings. I agree, start at the local level and work up.

If the dryvit isn't etched and it's an oxidized paint issue, this crap job can be saved.

Clearly there was a lot of oxidation and the PW guy is obviously not very experienced. Guy, made a great point. The question is how to approach mgmt and how will they take it when you do. Being empathetic may help in a situation like this when dealing with the person responsible for hiring these guys. There are a lot of people hiring painters to just cover the mold and oxidation. Still not proper way to handle it though. Look at these guys.

I always ran the road without signage, to many idiots on the road that pissed me off !!
 
And another one bites the dust, this is is a hospital in Bradenton, the reception was not real friendly when approached about the damage though, apparently the maintenance manager and his out of state friend/ painter/pressure washer from the NE coast seems to think all is well and I was told I did not have a clue as to "softwashing" that chemicals would disturb the patients, but "it is about time to be repainted anyway" oh and I will check it out. ??? nuts and BS. Seems to me it is insurance for additional contracts, He is smarter because he has been in construction for years.. ok

Wait a minute, that's us......

One Restore and light pressure worked great, But the damage was coming from bad sign corrosion and it just came back in a month or so.
