Wow, I don't come here for a while and return to this. Jonathon has prayers on the way from UT.
 
That is terrible news. I hope for a God Speed on his recovery. I'm also interested to hear how this happened to him and updates on how he's doing. Even though I never met him Jonathon came across as a real nice guy on these bb.

We are praying for him to recover, and for his wife and family to get through this tough time. He has his family at his side, and a whole bunch of his extended family here pulling for him.
 
Prayers sent to Jonathan and family
 
As far as the accident goes...he veered off the right side of the road...crossed back over...hit an embankment and then went through 75 feet of fence. One fence board went through the front windshield, back glass and in to the water tank. Another board apparently smacked him right in the face, causing the damage that they are waiting to do surgery on. That's what details I recall when I spoke to his wife Kelley yesterday morning.

I have not heard anything on how he's doing since his wife posted on FB that he was making progress yesterday.
 
I'm not a accident investigator and with all do respect to Jonathan and his family it sounds to me that he may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

I don't have the exact stats I know they are online..the time of the accident was at 4:30 AM if I read correctly. Between 4 AM and 6 AM I believe is when most accidents occur with people going to sleep behind the wheel.

The reason I say this is that I had rolled a pick up about 13 years ago at 4:30 AM on a freeway because I went to sleep at the wheel.

I'm not assuming anything about Jonathan's accident I've just pointing out a possible scenerio.

Get well soon Jonathan we are all pulling for you here.
 
The important part is he make a full and speedy recovery so he can get back to a normal life with his family/friends.

I pray that his wife is holding up through all of this, it's gotta be really hard on her.
 
All of us need to be very careful after we've worked all night. I take a nap at rest stops and truck stops when I work all night. There are several well lit and safe rest areas and truck stops. Please make good use of them.
