Do what I did Russ. Try Brian Penney.
No money has exchanged hands yet, but it will if anything pans out.
I did not insinuate that all of you who would volunteer your time are up to something you ought not be. Please don't put words in my mouth. If I make a statement about motives or agenda it will be direct and require no interpretation.
Right now my take on it is, "Meet the new Boss. Same as the old Boss."
Maybe I'm just implacably cynical but I'm entitled to my personal opinion and I reserve the right to change it as the facts present themselves.
I'm not interested in debating it nor am I planning to snipe from the sidelines.
It would be wonderful if something actually came out of a national org but I just don't believe that 'Big Org' can help the individual contractor and more than big government helps small business owners.
Just label me 'Pessimist' and ignore me.
Who could ignore you dude.
Ron that is so far from the truth as to what happened to Brian Penny. First off Brian doesnt visit these bb's that much so you don't see him here that often. Brian had another 1.5 yrs before he would have been able to move up to the President slot. Alot went down the last year and Between Brian and Cujo traveling for the org(Trip to Texas representing the org at an Environmental show etc.) they gave alot of themselves. What else can you ask for in a Volunteering org. Its a long story but most anyone in there shoes would have done the same thing as far as resigning goes. Who would want to keep volunteering when your efforts are disregarded and your word is discredited. To refer to these guys as quitters especially from you seems so far out of line because you know more then most.Mr. Penny
Brian, in light that Mr. gibson of THE GREASE POLICE .Com has brought up the fact you also resigned from the PWNA instead of a defense mode please take the time to elaborate why you quit the at almost the top. In only a few months you would have become the president of the PWNA and been able to make the changes for all pressure washing contractors nationwide and all would have been save from the darkness of evil.
You can cut to the chase and explain why you would pull out of another org at the top and join a start up?
Let me guess???????? Just my opinion, you realized that TGP had more to offer you than the wood org you found yourself as vice president and that the work you were doing was getting you no where.
You time and effort if only spent half the energy would create more positive with TGP.

Lots of drama!
I say who ever wants to start an org, LET THEM. If its a bad, good or great we will figure it out. I think everyone who is thinking and trying to start an org is doing so to help better the industry. there may be one or two or none that are doing it for strictly selfish reasons
Lets not bash or be to quick to criticize something that isn't even done yet
Lets just give it a chance.
My opinion is up in the air and a little negative towards an org working, but that could change in time who knows. Let them try and lets cut them some slack , without the negative crap, before anything is even presented
Just my $.02
Jeff
Lots of drama!
I say who ever
Like I said I want to start a pressure washing monarcy....and I want to be the KING
I have an interest in the thing, which is hard to believe in itself (to me) but I also have some major concerns and skepticism about a group of people that were heavily involved (at one time or another) with another org that has never done much other than flounder around and cost it's members money with little to no return or benefit to them. If they couldn't handle an errant board member or two, why should anyone believe that they're capable of launching and operating an organization on a national level anyway?
Now that I've gotten that off my chest and on the table, in what capacity might I be able to help? I'm an outsider generally speaking of our industry orgs but that might be a good thing for the future too. I'm open to lending a hand, but will under no uncertain terms sit around and be told to keep quiet while all the former, disgruntled members of another decrepit org try to steer the boat in their own selfish directions and no where else. That's already happened (and still happening apparently) elsewhere. It didn't work then and it won't work again.
If I can help, let me know. If not, I suppose all the narrow minds will keep telling me how narrow-minded I'm supposed to be.
national softwasher of america.

Just for clarification. Brian did not leave PWNA to join TGP. He was recruited, when it was made known he was available...we approached him, and he accepted the position of Associate VP. He had left PWNA before any offer was made to him for a position with TGP.
