New equipment coming - couple of questions

Hi there, just bought a 5.5GMP from Paul at Envirospec, and it should be arriving tomorrow. All I need to add is a fuel tank and a battery.

I'd like to know :

1- any small battery like one for lawnmowers will do it ? Can those be charged daily or need to wait until they go weak to fully charged them back ?

2 - Fuel tank, I know that a proper tank is needed and I've seen a couple of links here of some bought out of Marine equipment shops, but is there a place where you can buy locally or is better to order online? Can you use a one of those red 5gallon containers, the regular ones , in a pinch ?

thanks :victory:

Cold water, right? A lawn & garden battery will be fine. The engine will keep it charged up for you.

Do you have anyone in your town that sell boats? That'd be where I'd check.

thanks :victory:

The local Wally World prolly sells the marine gas tanks and battery also.

I'll check that up tomorrow, thanks folks !

Actually part of this thread was meant to ask how can I make it more "portable" with this detached fuel tank? Machine won't me on a trailer, is going to be on my van a pulled out when needed. Had any of you setup some sort of quick connect from the fuel to the tank or is just a small hose clamp needed ?

If you have a State and Federal EIN number, you are able to set yourself up as a dealer. I have a friend who is the district manager for Interstate Batteries, hooked me up as a dealer, so I get any and all batteries at cost.

The boat place will have QCs for your fuel line.

How many batteries do you go through a year ?

As many as my accountant can write off.

I have 3 company vehicles, 3 skids, 2 generators, 1 caustic 2 GPM 12 volt application system with a 15 gallon tank. 2 company Harley's, etc.

Ok, machine is here, I got the battery and tank (both at Walmart).

Now, there's this piece that came in a bag and I don't know if it's supposed to be installed or if is a replacement for something. SEE Picture

Also there's no fuel line from the filter to the tank .... is that available at Autozone or similar? I got a 6 gallon tank and it seems like is going to be a little uncomfortable to move around ... has anyone mounted it to a similar cart ?

Thanks for the help, I rather ask and look like a looser and not screw up the machine trying to "figure it out" . :neo:

Whats the model of the injector on the 4 gpm machine?

The orifice maybe to small, but it should work depending on some factors, the size and length of pressure hose used and the size of the tip in the lance, but you may not get the performance that a properly sized injector would give you.
