So you are saying that if you have low psi you can not put with high psi that would not work and the low psi unloader would go in bypass mode.Pressure will not increase beyond the highest setting of either machine. So if one is 2500 psi max and one is 3000 you can not get over 2500 as the lower psi machine will begin bypassing water.
It depends if your machines are belt/gear drive or direct drive.
If they are belt/gear drive then run separate hoses from the tank to each machine, Don't use a "T" to save a little bit of money for the supply to the machines, don't starve them, you can mess up the pumps.
If they are direct drive, run separate garden hoses to each machine from the house. A lot of times the flow from a house is not enought for an 8gpm machine, a lot of times not enought for my 5.6gpm machine so run a hose from the house to each machine.
Once you experience the 8gpm or more, you will want to do that a lot or keep it rigged up like that. Sure makes a huge difference when running surface cleaners.
Good video Nigel.
Great video Nigel... it takes away all the mystery of seeing how simple the y connecter with check valve and hoses ...does anyone sell this all made up ready to use ? how much ? thanks
Very informative Nigel. Thanks
Here is a post from PT State.

Thank You , Like your website
I purchased the parts from different on line stores car wash solutions or car wash parts for the check valves, envirospec for fittings, the check valves were the expensive items, I would say $120 or so for the complete tool.
Thanks Tony
Thank you, I am a memeber there also, but have never been able to thread other boards , but PWI

What browser are you using. Some browsers have a hard time embedding.
I don't have check valves on mine. I have pressure type unloaders so I don't think that I need them. I leave them hooked together all the time. If I don't need the 8 GPM, I just fire one machine. Mine are both 4GPM machines with 4000 PSI, 13 HP, direct drive Hondas. It seems to work fine this way. They have only been hooked up for a couple of weeks, but no problems yet. You may need the check valves with two mismatched machines, I am not sure. I'm no pdoolittle, I just know it's working for me so far.
you are correct on a 3/4 inch intake water line. However, one 2 inch water line then a 2 inch T will be good enough as well
