king ranch breaks again

Did that Ford come with a reclaim system ?

I've been a Chevy guy my whole life, but theses days it's quite the dilemma. Since GM is now government owned, I no longer feel comfortable with it's longevity.

Been looking at Dodge trucks, but similar situation, who owns Dodge now that Chrysler is history ? I've been told Fiat owns Dodge, haven't confirmed it.

I have damn near 100,000 on my Duramax and only 2 problems since new; wiring harness to the injection module (recall, repaired free) and the instrument console cluster (once again, recall issue, repaired free)

I need to add another truck to my inventory, might just look for a 07 to 09 3500 Duramax.

Russ, as much driving as you do I think Al Gore would love you if you switched to these. You could singlehandedly save the entire earth. If you had been driving one of these on Monday, there would have been no earthquake in Mexico.

That should be able to pull your lift Tony. Remember, pink = save the boobies !!!!

2011 NEW GMC HD will be at the Denver Car Show this weekend. It will only be showed at two shows denver being one of them.

The new dodge looks very stout. They did a really good job on the inside.

I think there will be a lot of changes being made in the near future with HD trucks and the rest of the auto industry. I believe that American made vehicles will have a come back over Foreign vehicles before long. I also think there will be fuel efficient HD Trucks as well. Just hold on to your ponies.

LEMON LAW
Make them take it back.
My neighbor across the road bought a 2009 6.4 and just over 700 miles later it broke the crank shaft at the oil journal between the 2nd and 3rd rown of cylinders.
They towed it back that morning and he took back possesion of his 2003 7.3 and told them to mail him the new registration for the tags and never heard from Batttlefield ford in Culpeper again.

Just got the call, I am getting a brand new crate motor from Ford with 100,000 miles additional warranty at no charge.

Also just got one of my others back today, put new injectors, glow plugs and a new seal kit for 1090.00 bucks and it runs like new with 200k on it.

:yikes::yikes:
:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Congrats

Would that be a 7.3 with 200K?

If it isn't a 7.3 send it back.

204k on my '02 7.3, with intake, exhaust, and custom tunes and still pulls like a champ and has been virtually maintenance free. I better find something wooden to knock on now lol. By far one of the best motors ever made!

I walked away from the bow tie once Obama took control of it.:haha:

I'm strictly Ford now (I6 or 7.3). That being said, in your situation I'd go with the 3500 Duramax. It's what you like and I won't razz you about it.
It's a Pre-Obama Chevy.

2011 brings a new version of the Duramax and Allison. Might by new, especially with the 100,000 mile warranty. Only issue I have now with GM trucks is they don't offer a crew cab with a short bed. That extra long wheelbase will make it difficult to maneuver some of the parking structures I do.

Don't get me started on the Ford V. Chevy debate. Every Chevy I have, except for an Astro I have had to put at least one new motor in, and fairly quickly.
I have a 6.0 that has never left me stranded, but it only has 133k miles on it. I have heard about the problems, but you cannot prove it by me.

It's hard to go back to a standard cab once you've driven a crew cab.

Did you take it flowers?

As for the short beds, that is what I prefer.

I went today and saw it, it was very disturbing to say the least. The cab was on a lift 10 feet above the frame and the motor was gone, tranny dropped, I basically had a frame and a bed left!

That is how they are supposed to be worked on there are eight frame bolts that come off and 8 wiring connections Diconnect the throttle transmission and parking brake cables and the entire cab is taken off.

Get another one
5th mechanical breakdown in 3 weeks with the NEW 6.4 diesel, this was the result of a glow plug blowing out!

So far they replaced a radiator, injectors, 2 sensors (one of the required they remove the cab) a glow plug harness and now its really bad on this one!:cray:
