The devil himself walked up to me while I was washing a house and told me he was going back to hell because he couldn't take the heat anymore. I can't drink enough water to keep hydrated. I even start drinking a lot of water at night before I go to bed. I think I am gonna start working with a camel back strapped on! This house was 8800 sq ft with 2nd story porches front and back with no access other than taking my behind up a ladder. I could not back up far enough with my camera to get the whole house in the pic. Why does anyone need this much house?

Simple answer....They need so much house to pay you to clean it top to bottom at the price you charge.... Have you tried salt pills for helping keep hydrated? Nice work by the way...:cool:

I was not at your job site.I was to busy sweating at my own this morning.:D

With the heat index today it was 111.
 
my jeep read 104 for awhile today! It was a hot one for sure! I keep alot of water onboard with me with 20 lbs of ice! I love the big blue cooler!
 
It was hotter than Hell today and the humidity was awful. Yesturday I did a house in Ruskin and then headed over to see Chris. never really had too much to drink and felt fine. I went up for awile and helped out Chris' guys just for fun. I was up there about 30 minutes and all of a sudden started to get a real bad headache and felt sick to my stomach. I barely made it off the ladded and into my truck when I started to puke. Thank God Chris was there and my wife was with me as well. She got me some Gatorade and dipped some towels into the cooler for me to put around my neck and over my head. I was sheet white ( i was told) and I felt as if I was going to die. That is no joke! I could barely hold my head up never mind my arms. This is the second time this has happened to me in 2 years. The last time was on a 2 story tile roof that I was cleaning in East Lake Woodlands. It was a 6000sq tile roof. I was alot worse on that roof and thank God for my helper being there. This heat is nothing to take lightly... People Die from this! We need to drink, drink and drink more. I now normally wear a cold towel around my neck, Drink alot and wear a hat dipped itn the cooler before I go up.(except for yesturday. .) Stopped being a hero along time ago... Here are a couple of pics from the one I got heat stoke on in 2006. Lets be safe!

Larry nice looking house I think I would be ground guy that is hight roof. Yes heat can kill you just as freezing can so no more joking around lets be safe guys show that we are pros ok. Larry you are lucky man that chris and your wife was there. My wife goes out with me on smaller jobs when she want to play the flat work love cleaning the drives says it is stress releaf.

Yea Chris, Just like Spencer was saying, Who needs a house this big? Funny thing is, the owner only uses the house a few times a year...:confused:
These pics are only of the front. Ya should see the back with the pool and enclosure in the back. 3 times bigger than my house. Stay hydrated everyone and be safe!
 
Larry, I just booked one today 7800 sq ft. The caretaker that I met with said the home owner is only there a few days a month. Imagine that! I just do not get it. The outdoor kitchen was nicer than my indoor kitchen!
 
Caretaker? Must be nice. I don't get it either Spencer. My wife and I have talked about the what if we ever won the lottery thingmany times. I still would not want or need a house that big! I think alot of it is all about the status thing. Good job on landing the deal. Thats alot of house. Are you doing more than just the roof. I am unbelievably slow over here. Can't wait for the real season to start picking up again. You need a ground guy? LOL:D
 
Larry, I am not cleaning the roof. I don't clean them. Not because I don't want to but because I an not walking a tile roof. I really need to go out with someone that has no rinse roof cleaning and sprays from the edge. I have never cleaned them that way and I can't compete with those guys that price wise, not the way I have cleaned them in the past anyways. I refuse to clean them again until I have learned the proper SAFE way to clean them. I really need to take the time to go out with someone and learn. I send all my roof work to other people. I also send my hood cleaning to other people. Business has actually picked up in the last few weeks. That is not saying a whole whole lot but at least it is moving in a positive direction. Once school starts we will pick up quite a bit. We usually do every year but we'll see how it goes this year. I am not just talking pw though. We clean carpet/upholstery and have maid service too. Lord knows the mold and mildew is strong this year. All people have to do is go outside and look at their building or home so hopefully the pw will pick up as well.
 
I do alot(when busy) of non pressure roof cleaning Spencer. Most all of the roofs I do I walk on. I do not shoot them from the edge at least not as of yet. As far as rinsing them goes some believe you need too and some don't. I do not rinse them. Mama nature does that for me. Not because I am lazy but because I have seen much better results with leaving it on the roof without causing any damage what so ever. Customers know what to expect way before I even start and have been very happy with the results. Not sure if you have seen my video or not but it is on my site. All of the roofs in their were done using that method. Some I had to go back after a good rain to get the after pics. Not spaming here but if you want to check it out it here it is.

I hope this season is really good too. Your right, alot of rain and there are alot of houses and bldgs. that have got mold growing all over them. Already started planting the seed at a few companies around here.
