We gave Nextel 2 tries about 2 years apart.
They are not reliable enough, was our findings, we use AT&T Wireless now
have for 5 years now. I kept my AT&T phone while using Nextel .
(Needed something more reliable)
In our area Nothern California AT&T is the BEST COVERAGE, not necessarily the least expensive though.
I pay around $100 a month for my phone and $59 a month each for employee phones.
Unlimited calling between our group.

The Nextel works fine for my. The i700 ($75.00) is water resistant and allows me to keep it with me at all times, I don't need to leave it it the truck to keep it from getting wet. As for the cost I have 1200 outgoing minutes, unlimited incoming calls, two way radio and free long distance, voice mail , everything except internet.. Some might think the monthly charge of $135.00 including everything is high but I can make at least that much from just one housewash. I have used over 27,000 minutes of talk time in the last 24 months so when you look at it that way it was very cost effective for me. If you are in a rural area you might need another phone service. It is not what you are paying it is what you are getting for your dollars.

hey guys, If you like your service thats great. tell the otehr guys. I was metioning cricket because for my guys the service is great and i dont have to worry about the bills going over 32.00. Itys unlimited. I have not heard anyone beat that deal yet.
The service with cricket is limited but my guys never go out of that area. if they go elsewhere i have other phones that i pay and arm and a leg for.
Nextel is great service but i can get cricket cheaper.... phone's even cost less. 65.00 bucks is the cheapest. nextel wanted 200.00 for a decent model. the two way is nice, but we use the free paging on the crickets to talk back and fourth. Service is ok for the phone but it varies depending on location. They now have the I30 phones for $10 each if you activate two phones! Not too bad, be sure to buy the extra insurance for $4.95 a month for free replacement. Happy New Year! Jim

I DEAL WITH SOME GENERAL CONTRACTORS AND THEY HAVE NEXTEL, SO I CHOOSE TO HAVE IT ALSO. THAT WAY THEY CALL ME ON THE RADIO INSTEAD OF LOOKING UP A COMPETITORS PHONE NUMBER.
